@lydiaschoch @bookstodon I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but "Off the Spectrum: Why the Science of Autism has failed women and girls" by Gina Rippon. Also "Is this autism" by Donna Henderson et al. is really good as far as what autistic people themselves experience, much of which is not on any symptom list.
