Yes, that is Bear from the ".hack//SIGN" anime. I identify with him as an old fart gamer surrounded by young punk gamers. I haven't adopted any comatose teenagers, though.

Thanks, just ordered this from my library.
Sound relevant to something I've always wondered about but never got around to researching: A lot of people nowadays seem to think that the Holocaust was the main reason the Allies fought WWII. Which seems extremely unlikely to me.
But of course the first question that leads to is what was known about it by the general public, by those in a position to know, and by the top levels of politics.

I am about 75% through this, but not that entranced. The SF part seems secondary, it is more a spy novel as the world slides even farther towards totalitarianism. There is some supernatural stuff, but I'm not that interested. More adding additional mysteries than resolving existing ones.
