@bondolo @main @mastoblind @bookstodon somewhere around half through The Shadow of the Torturer so far, biggest thing that throws me now and then is when it just casually decides to be in classical Greek or latin for a moment, not that Poe doesn't do the same. Figuring out how something should be read is significantly easier when you use the right language.

@main @mastoblind @bookstodon I've read over 160 pages in #Braille in the last ~3 weeks, I have been aiming for 10 pages a day, though right now averaging just under 7. Glad to find my speed back to about 5 minutes per page, I was up to about 3.5 per page when reading Harry Potter over a year back, however The Book of the New Sun is drastically more advanced.

@bondolo @main @mastoblind @bookstodon Yeah I found #NLSBard has a bunch of Gene Wolf's works, including both Shadow & Claw, and Sword & Citadel, so I have both on my display. It all seems to be 2016 transcriptions in EBAE.

@main @mastoblind @bookstodon Ok am up to chapter 3, and this is a superb book so far, the writing strongly reminds me of some of Poe's more complex stories, in particular Ligeia, which should also give people an idea of the language and style of the writing.
