These are indeed unread posts. However, it can sometimes happen that messages remain in this status even though they have already been read.You can manually set the status to "read" for all messages, which will correct the display.
Click the pencil icon once, then click a circle, and then click the "eye." This sets the status of the messages for that circle to read.

Die Funkltion ist bei einem Beitrag hinter den "..." Versteckt und heißt jetzt wohl "add Star", bzw. "remove Star", wenn schon "markiert".
