They are giving primates HIV which is wonderful.
I am not a fan of animal testing, but I’m also not a fan of testing on the poor. So far those seem to be the only two flavours :(.

Maybe that’s just the oldest depiction of someone working hard, and all earlier painters were too poor to use their paint on them. Imagine how poor they were before that.

They came pretty close with the Brits, but then the Dutch and the Deutch become more and more two distinctive peoples and then Brits decided German was a better fit. I’d need a historian to explain the details though

- Comment on The original meme was in Spanish, but I translated it. 4 weeks ago:
If your house is haunted by Indian ghosts it doesn’t really matter if it was built 60, 6 or 600 years. It’s not like those ghosts only appear after a certain amount of years and then disappear again after a set amount of years, just saying.

- Comment on History is written by historians 💪💪💪💪💪 5 weeks ago:
According to your argument recent history include your private messages and online profiles, but that only becomes relevant once collected and analysed. Sure with modern media that doesn’t only result in written text, but figuring out what part of the past is true fact and what is not is a study done by scholars. Deciding what happens is a collective act, deciding what of that is recorded (and how) is done by a smaller group, and what of that records is considered “true” history is done by an even smaller group.
If you want to know what happened at some place 5 years ago and would like to do your own research you can, but you can’t decide whether your research will be used by others. The further back you go in time the harder it will be to figure it out without using 2nd hand data.

Reading the second statement is indeed much more logical, i was so confused by the sarcasm i perceived. Thanks for taking the time to write that showing once again how much wisdom the people in this community poses.

tricornking is wrong there, the meme was not used to get broader acceptance of the theory but of broader understanding of how the acceptance was developed. I can understand the mistake, they look like the same picture but they forgo the fact the broad acceptance happened long before the internet meme was invented.
This distinction might not matter to everyone, but since i appreciate it so much when others comment with facts relevant to the historical accuracy, it seemed wise for me to take advantage of the opportunity to add to the discussion since for once I have a good enough understanding of all relevant facts.
- Comment on Damn good chocolate though, I hear 1 month ago:
I agree with the Nazi gold part, but aren’t peace talks held in geneva from time to time? Being a facilitator is a way of involving yourself in global politics, my point being neutrality ≠ no involvement.
Also if you include chocolate, shouldn’t there also be representation of watches, army knives and bank accounts?
