I’m positive there have been! The moon has done a very nice job of catching meteors over the eons. It gets pelted by space debris every time we get meteor showers.

But none large enough for us to notice with our eyes.

The only thing that’s changed about the moon is a handful of robots, some chunks of various materials left behind, and footprints. None of which are visible to our eyes.

Anyone reading this can travel for quite some time and not be able to find something that’s remained undisturbed for several millennia.

I think it wasn’t until after I left highschool I finally read more into the “human civilization” part (I was more interested in the geology of it all as a kid)

It was about 10am, I’d wager a huge chunk of the US was awake.

History memes needs less American and Roman history and more obscure stuff.

Too many people get their history from movies.

I love how some engineers “had the idea” and slapped their name on something people have been making for literal decades.

I actually haven’t watched PIC or ST:A and I don’t think I will. The tones of the first episodes just don’t vibe with me, but I’m glad others enjoy them. I absolutely love SNW and LD. DISC is okay as an alternate universe starfleet, although I have my issues with certain things (like ship size… Oof)

I already want a more action-oriented dominion war era show, so I could get behind a concurrent medical drama on the front lines, crossover episode once or twice and all that.

I disagree that the main driving force of a medical show is lack of resources, as Grail said, HOUSE, MD is a good example of. Also I have seen a bit of early Grey’s anatomy and I didn’t notice lack of resources. But also as gedfromgont said, a Voyager type show where they’re cut off from starfleet would totally work to keep their resources limited. Make it a medical ship or station, and you’re set! Give them that “year of hell” feeling from Voyager.

Galactica '03 is one of those shows I’d say is as perfect as can be.

I get all giddy every time I see them use inertia instead of “ww2 dogfighting but in space”.

As much fun as that might be, I think I’d rather see them climb the ladder and be mid-level officers. They still have to deal with senior officers but they also have a lot more responsibilities.

I would absolutely love to see researchers with military and exploration experience getting their hands dirty with new tech.

I was thinking more “Middle Decks!” but essentially yes. Same vibes. Probably slightly less real alcohol than the usual LD gathering.

I want more lower Decks, but like… After a few years have passed. The main cast are still on the same ship (even if not the cerritos, but seeing them at slightly higher ranks with Ransom in command would be interesting) but I also think the show ended in a good place.

I REALLY want to see some TV-MA style section 31 show. Especially if we aren’t sure if the main cast are actually the bad guys or not. Anti-hero style, but like… Actual anti-hero, not “good guy but they swear” type.

Also I’m sure they could make a medical drama, although I doubt I’d watch it… Heck, set it on the USS Pasteur with an older Dr crusher in charge.

Ooh a more action-oriented show following a crew during the dominion war would be awesome.

And set up a 24/7 livestream following the crew of the Lower Decks in a Borg ship. I’m sure it would be riveting

Life in space is hard. When your stomach contents are physically incapable of settling, getting sick to your stomach is easy. Going from a lot of a physically addictive substance to no physically addictive substance makes one unhappy. Tons of people justify their shitty attitudes on the morning by saying “you know not to talk to me before I’ve drank my physically addictive stimulant in a mug” and acting like that’s normal.

Anyone who thinks this man wasn’t deserving of being there over those things, I daresay would be just as miserable.

I’d be stoked for the sights and experience in general, but I’m not going to pretend it would all be roses and sunshine.

My plan is “I’ll probably be dead” but if not, I have enough parts to cobble together a solar charging station, and keep my laptop running for a few days between needing to let everything charge back up.

I have one off-site backup on an hdd inside a faraday bag and waterproof case that I back up once a week(ish) and after every project. I have local backups daily, one in a faraday box.

I have never once needed any of them and honestly if shit hit the fan hard enough, I will likely never be in a position where having backups for digital information will matter again. I’ll probably at most have my old phone/battery/solar charger combo that’s in a case in the garage, I keep a ton of survival references, maps, and things like that on it.
