You don’t need to mod the easy ones, tho

That’s a hardcore throw into the hobby, e3v1 is one of the least easy to start ones.

Yeah, but being voted emperor is a weird ceremony as well, no?
- Comment on People acting as if becoming Roman emperor required navigating some labyrinthine constitutional process 2 weeks ago:
Earlier emperors needed a lot of ceremony about actually wielding power as first citizens of republic didn’t they?

- Comment on A question some people asked 2 weeks ago:
Interesting, did they call it world war 1 or just world war?
- Comment on A question some people asked 2 weeks ago:
First world war wasn’t named as such before the second one, and it wasn’t characterized just by military action happening everywhere, but by absolute number of casualties and scale of it. Same with the second one.
7 years war took maybe a million lives, while battles for gallipolli, ypres, lviv, somme, etc. etc. took anywhere from 500k to 1.2m each.
- Comment on Medieval people had bathhouses & did not all die before 35... 2 weeks ago:
They were filthy and miserable, compared to modern people, obviously not to the extent of TV portrayals, but they weren’t actually able to take shower every day or have 5 day work week and work days of ~8 hours.

And nothing of value was lost. One r*ssian empire gone, next one rose.

I’ve tried it a few days ago, clever trick, works great. BUT it’s slow as hell, like 2-3 mm/s.
- Comment on I just wanted to know how bad Lead really is and end up here 3 weeks ago:
Lead poisoning probably didn’t impact empire in any significant way, also romans were aware that lead is poisonous. Insane instability of later empire might have much bigger impact on fall of western empire.
- Comment on [Review] Infinite Stratos: A Harem 1st, Mecha 2nd 3 weeks ago:
IIRC the whole premise of Infinite Stratos was dumb, like there are super weapons and they are controlled completely by a single peson that just decided that women won’t start wars. Then the said person apparently reverses that decision because reasons. So it’s a bad harem with bad plot.

Do you measure better only by healthcare? A progress was made in almost every facet of life. Even in places where access to modern healthcare is limited or nonexistent.

- Comment on Unlocking LUKS with NitroKey/Yubikey: FIDO2, HMAC-SHA1, or OpenPGP? 5 weeks ago:
You either use disk encryption (and a lot of other things as well) and accept these concerns as part of the deal or you dont use it. That’s why actual security involves threat modeling and mitigation. Encryption by itself gives little more then headache.

Cossacs as well, they were viewed as christian chivalric order and restoration of knightly tradition (starshyna were in fact szlachta more often than not), they were mercenaries that often fought on the side of ottomans or multiple sides of the same war at the same time and often participated in piracy as well. Also government was sometimes republic with elected monarch, sometimes ‘hereditary’ monarchy, sometimes just republic.

Is this sv08? I have it on my list of printers to buy (owned sv06 and ace before) is it any good? Any recurring problems?
- Comment on Back with an update on my previous posts 1 month ago:
CC1? Usb ports probably. I’ve seen that they are a bit cracked on others as well, I have 3 spare hotends when the’ll die. Also changed two buildplates for bbl ones (require small adapter installation can be found on printables, they were ~2 times cheaper) because they were getting patchy. That’s all, extremely reliable machines so far.
- Comment on Back with an update on my previous posts 1 month ago:
I’m in the same camp, creality is garbage, always was and still is. CC1 is one of the best printers right now, own 3 and the only real problem I had with them over months of every day printing almost non stop is type-c cable on one of them breaking. It took me two hours to change (and some time to source long type-c cable with corner connector). Very very very forgiving machines that just work.
