I mean, I don’t doubt that honestly, makes a lot more sense to me especially since they never got any reward money.
Also could of been a way to “legalize” the illegally obtained facial recognition, or some other form of illegal intelligence gathering.

Props, I don’t mean to imply we all need to shoehorn old technology in everywhere, but there are definitely spaces for it, and I also believe knowing how to use these tools are a great skillset to have.

Placing the blame squarely at our feet is misguided and seeds your own responsibility to civilization to “flaccid anus of selfish corporate group think.”
Like how can you disagree with that? I’m not excusing any actions, or defending the choices, again, I donate to Wikipedia every time they ask - we all are responsible to protect and defend this knowledge, you can’t call on Americans alone to do it.
