- Comment on What is likely to happen when/if trump dies? 1 week ago:
Politicians will use his death for X agenda. vance is primed for it and Erika Kirk is a good case study.
- Comment on Is trying weed edibles worth it? 1 week ago:
Worth it in a controlled environment. Good story, memory, experience.
Also it’s important to differentiate the taste for the future in case you accidentally ingest it.
- Comment on what should I do, or what can I even do? 1 week ago:
Limit your plans to 3 at most. Think hard about these 3 plans. And they should be practical. I’m not in your shoes so I can’t relate but you have all the case studies, classes online once you figure out your plans.
- Comment on eYou promises to change social media. But the alternatives already exist 1 week ago:
Unless we can increase our mental loads, more of anything doesn’t really work.
Lemmy is the thing I’ll use until there’s new protocols that focus on privacy or something else.
- Comment on Microsoft rolls back some of its Copilot AI bloat on Windows 2 weeks ago:
If they knew any better, they’d link rewards to enrollment. Customers want choice and incentives.
- Comment on I vibe coded a driver to monitor and control the temperatures and fans in my Aoostar WTR PRO. 2 weeks ago:
Pretty cool so long those fans don’t go berserk. Faster troubleshooting if it’s tested well. I remember setting up fan curves on bios at one point and it was annoying enough. Also I don’t think you can stress test there so if your use case needs that then sure.
- Comment on Why is AI so bad at coming up with dialogue? 2 weeks ago:
The example with the millionaire, the task is to write believable dialog and context for people of two different classes. I don’t think AI has that training data.
I believe AI can simulate a text conversation with the right training data. AI came in too early and won’t be able to get proper candid training data for a long time.
- Comment on Nvidia Announces DLSS 5, and it adds... An AI slop filter over your game 2 weeks ago:
AI filters on the end result that basically kills the soul of the art direction. I can see a game parody that capitalizes on this.
- Comment on Why are people so rude on Reddit compared to the Fediverse? 2 weeks ago:
I think some bots are trained to be controversial and mean. Controversial take would be that age verification roots out the young pranksters from certain communities.
- Comment on He has become a felon 34 times over, impeached twice, is there anything else anyone can do to get Trump out of office besides a storming the gates? 2 weeks ago:
Heard things won’t happen the way we expect. He’s in late stage dementia with sleeping etc and the only people around him are those that will use him til end of life. His immediate family sees him only as capital.
- Comment on Would you ever call your son a disappointment? 2 weeks ago:
I was called lesser so kinda the same thing. I never use that word cause it’s reserved for tywin Lannister type of dudes lol
- Comment on AI Translations Are Adding ‘Hallucinations’ to Wikipedia Articles 4 weeks ago:
Their intent i believe is good. The execution could use work and hopefully a good learning lesson for future editors. Translation is tough but that’s their job.
- Comment on What was your social media path? 1 month ago:
Aim, msn, Xbox live chat, qq. Xanga. Asian fanatics, soompi, digg. Once Facebook came along that was the thing.
- Comment on Why do we have a bunch of ways to say good night, but only one way to say good morning? 2 months ago:
I guess waking someone up is easy like yelling. Having someone go to sleep when they don’t feel like it needs some finesse.
- Comment on Are you people all bots? 2 months ago:
We all got screened the same way, through some personality questionnaire. Im pretty sure there’s some bots that passed. Like if people can scam through interviews,.there’s a way.
- Comment on Windows users keep losing files to OneDrive, and many don't know why 2 months ago:
I still don’t know how it works. I have files from 2015 there I don’t remember about.
- Comment on we need more users 2 months ago:
Do comments help also or we need to post topics etc.
- Comment on What the Linux desktop really needs to challenge Windows 3 months ago:
I feel with chatgpt it’s getting close to near self troubleshooting levels. But I feel once the end of life thing starts then more folks will convert.
