Combat is fun and similar to Hades but not quite as deep. That said the community management aspect is a big part of the game so if you’re not into that you might struggle, there’s a lot of deciding what to build / talking to your cult.

Praying that one day GOG can strike a deal with console owners to bring old abandoned game to PC. I know decompiles exist but you basically need to pirate the games to play them which is very inaccessible.

Crazy that the Sands of Time remake was supposed to come out early 2021… Remakes are supposed to be quick projects for easy money, how could Ubisoft mess it up that much? Sands of Time isn’t even a long game!
One was a cancelled mobile game but now I’m curious what the other 4 were. I guess we’ll never find out as they funnel all that money to their successful live-service stuff.

They haven’t fixed clipping into the ceiling to teleport out of caves though :)

Not only stupid in general but extremely stupid considering Rockstar already made it clear they don’t like 3rd party mods when they were taking down GTA RP servers.

Valve doesn’t decide anything, the whole Steam awards are voted by the community. It’s a popularity contest.

I very very rarely pre-order but if reviews are out and you’re already planning on buying it, it could be worth it. Some stores provide a discount for pre-ordering games, I got Elden Ring for 15% off before it even released which is nice.

The Switch 2 could absolutely handle Skyrim at 60fps if not 120, it’s not their fault Bethesda half-assed the port.

Great article, but a very painful one to read. Mina the Hollower was one of my most anticipated games this year, and it sucked that it got delayed the same month it was supposed to release in.
What was once considered a less ambitious side project is now the company’s largest game ever. “We basically had to redo everything,” D’Angelo says. If they’d all stuck together from the beginning, Gordon says, “we would’ve finished it two to three years ago.”
So it sounds like the game got delayed because they were split into two teams. One was working on a 3D Shovel Knight sequel, and one was working on Mina the Hollower. The person directing the latter was struggling and slowed down the project, so they fired a bunch of people, focused on Mina, and basically restarted its development.
The good news is that if things go to plan, they said they’ll revisit the 3D Shovel Knight game. I’m really looking forward to that.

This stick doesn’t look that bad, if it’s still working well you can probably scrape that plastic on the side and put a stick cap on top. Otherwise, I’d recommend going for hall-effect sticks if you’re looking to replace it. They’re higher quality and last longer than normal sticks.
As an aside, your Switch would REALLY benefit from being cleaned with some compressed air, that D-pad looks rough. All that gunk will get stuck at the bottom eventually which would make it feel very sticky.
