Yeah but it does explain why humans were able to evolve in that area, and then eventually adapted to its changes better than the branches that didn’t make it.

That area has supported hominids since way before civilization. Its crazy how many “cousins” we used to have. It seems like biodiversity used to be way higher there.

The Sahara used to be far greener in the not too distant past I thought? Also the taiga will be very far less green very soon.

I’ve thought earnestly about keeping my own perpetual stew. However, I don’t think my guests would be as into it as they might have been in the past. The office microwave is the new perpetual stew.
