- Comment on 'Worst in Show' CES products include AI refrigerators, AI companions and AI doorbells 5 days ago:
They don’t care about sales, they got that sweet venture capital money and those stock prices.
- Comment on If tomato is a fruit then lasagna is a fruit tart. 5 days ago:
Also properly made lasagna with ragu alla bolognese contains very little tomato. It is a meat ragu, not a tomato sugo.
- Comment on Trump says US needs to own Greenland to deter Russia, China 1 week ago:
People should read up on the subject a bit. The US already has an airbase on Greenland. They used to have many, but have closed all but one.

But it does always get better.
That is unfortunately not a given at all.
- Comment on Hacktivist deletes white supremacist websites live on stage during hacker conference 1 week ago:
Technically illegal, yes, but it has nothing to do with “terrorism” though.
- Comment on Being a "sleeper agent" sounds awesome. "You just want me to chill and be a normal dude... for money. Yeah put me down for 5 years, make it 10 actually. 1 week ago:
No, a sleeper agent will have to have a boring ass regular job as part of the cover. You will literally work more, since you will have to work your regular job and your spy job at the same time.
- Comment on Denmark becomes first country in world to end letter delivery 2 weeks ago:
The level of digitisation in Denmark is very high compared to basically any other country in the world. Something which most of the commenters in this thread are obviously not aware of.
Also the thread title is wrong. You will still be able to send physical letters, it is just not being done by the historical postal delivery service anymore.
- Comment on We own the hardware, but not the experience anymore — Big Tech keeps building smarter, more connected devices, but the user experience feels more intrusive, more confusing, and less human 2 weeks ago:
Sigh. This kind of nonsense is why so many people get scared away from even trying linux. Who cares which distro you use, as long as it is linux it is a step in the right direction, and a whole lot of people (including myself) have taken that step very recently, despite some arrogant linux bros doing their best to gatekeep us away from even trying.

Continuing my smart TV OS analogy, your answer is like saying just to use a dumb TV instead. There aren’t any dumb TVs anymore! The TV manufacturer cartel colluded to quit making them!
Yes there are, every smart tv becomes dumb as soon as you disconnect it from the internet. Just use it the same way you would use a monitor for your computer.
- Comment on Are We Ready to Be Governed by Artificial Intelligence? 2 weeks ago:
No we are not ready, and should never be ready, but that won’t stop the techbro oligarchs from implementing it.
- Comment on I need to vent about plastic milk jugs 2 weeks ago:
The sanitary standards for packaging milk are very high in North America.
Well, perhaps used to be. Now the oversight on those kinds of things is gone, and companies can do whatever pleases them. I wouldn’t put my trust in their good faith at all.
- Comment on Consumerism 3 weeks ago:
But not so much for the stop eating fast food and go outside bit, more for the racism and misogyny.
- Comment on What do other languages use for "magic" words; or names and titles in fantasy and sci-fi novels or cinema? 4 weeks ago:
Harry Potter isn’t really exemplary of English in this regard either. You are generalising from lack of knowledge. This isn’t a thing in English either outside of Harry Potter.

- Comment on Why do you hate AI? 5 weeks ago:
It is definitely very American in its defaulting to racism as the core of its satire.

They are likely going extinct because insects are too though. But yeah, the entire eco system is completely fucked.

Of course. They are gathering data from people who have never even had a meta account.
- Comment on Hi, I am TotallyNotForeignNational and only have the best interests of america in mind. You can trust me because this is reddit, not xitter, and I say good things about the American president. 1 month ago:
Pretty funny with the “Even Trump said it was”, as if they are adding some sort of extra impeccable cited source, when what they are doing is literally just regurgitating precisely what Trump said in everything they write.
They are Trump supporters because they are even more stupid than Trump himself, which is a pretty mindboggling concept.

- Comment on The increase in literacy rates around the world is perhaps one of the most beautiful occurance of the past 100 years, perhaps the most beautiful thing in the entire history of humanity. 1 month ago:
I would argue it comes in at a close second after the invention of antibiotics and modern medicial science in general.
