Sweden here. Never had a problem with 250W with cargo on my RadRunner. Not even in heavy snow. You know you’re supposed to pedal them too right?
- Comment on After Today's meeting where Trump fell in love with Mamdani, this is MAGA tomorrow morning. 6 days ago:
What I don’t get is why he’s called a democratic socialist and not a social democrat. You know, the widely used term for parties with his kind of politics around the world.

Kids are stupid and can’t consent. Doesn’t matter if it’s about receiving hormones, or jesus christ into their hearts.

You can to get drunk/high at home and paint some shit, it might even work out great, but you don’t show up to your job as a painter in the same state.

I’m guessing they feel right at home if they also use Facebook/Instagram/TikTok. People think that’s just how the internet is, many don’t understand what a bot even is.
- Comment on Flight cuts from government shutdown strain a supply chain that's already stretched thin 2 weeks ago:
FedEx and UPS packages never arrive anyway. Or they do arrive, unannounced, while you’re not home.
- Comment on If God was real (just go with it), then how he's portrayed in the Bible might not even be how he actually is. 3 weeks ago:
The Bible has almost nothing to do with Yahweh. Dude had a wife and belonged in a pantheon of gods before some cult started worshiping only him. And now we have dumb-fuck cultists mutilating childrens genitalia running around being the shittiest of people.
- Comment on Meta is earning a fortune on a deluge of fraudulent ads, documents show 3 weeks ago:
Meta, Alphabet and Microsoft are all criminal organisations whose been found guilty of multiple crimes and shows no sign of remorse or change of behaviour. Shareholders and employees with these companies should be held accountable, if not legally, then socially.

- Comment on iCarly was a streamer before streaming was even really a thing. 4 weeks ago:
Someone who was actually alive in 2007 here. Live streaming was definitely a thing in 2007. In fact, that was around the time it stared getting big with the launch of Justin.tv (later Twitch.tv and acquired by Amazon). You forget that the internet at the time wasn’t as centralised as today. So many creators simply had their own website where they could post videos and stream.
PayPal was more popular than it is today among other options at the time (like you know, using your card and making regular ass bank payments). Buying merch to support your favourite creators was common.
The word “influncer” did exist and there were tons of them on the “blogosphere” in the 00’s. Today largely replaced by Instagram.
- Comment on Meet Mico, Microsoft’s AI version of Clippy 5 weeks ago:
Capitalism is about ownership more than anything else. Capitalism states that the means of production is private property and to be used for the purpose of obtaining profit. As long as there is profit, supply and demand can go fuck itself along with the workers (those who produce). It really is a stupid system that can never be fully implemented (every economy is a mixed economy for a reason) since it naturally creates perverse incentive.

I found Cortana to be actually useful and way better than it’s contemporaries, so of course they killed it instantly 🤣

- Comment on Why is Unraid popular in the self-hosting community ? 5 weeks ago:
I think it’s neat. It has tons guides and plugins to do pretty much anything. Other solutions can be lacking in documentation. One big plus is the way you can just throw in whatever drives you’ve got laying around and not have to worry about them matching or anything. Is it the best performing? Probably not but it doesn’t need to be. For me it just hosts files and a bunch of fairly lightweight services.
- Comment on Australian unis rob staff, splash on Big 4 consultants, hoard billions - Michael West 5 weeks ago:
Well yes. If profit is the motive, nothing else matters. Not even laws. Corporations are not people. They cannot read laws, they cannot care about laws. It’s like expecting an LLM to not produce slop because you really hoped it wouldn’t.

- Comment on Why does the GOP think “ANTIFA” is bad? 1 month ago:
You completely misunderstood my whole argument and instead of thinking about it for a minute, you reacted like many MAGA-cultists would. I’m not surprised since this how you have been conditioned to react, probably since childhood. Maybe one day it will click with you. Until then, I’m really very happy you are no longer working as a teacher.
- Comment on Why does the GOP think “ANTIFA” is bad? 1 month ago:
With you already being in a cult, you should be able to empathise with these people. They believe what they believe because they’ve been told to. Questioning that comes with consequences from the rest of the cult.
When someone calls you a fucking idiot for worshiping some old storm god from a long dead bronze age religion who has had more “prophets” than most people have had pimples, you know how they feel when you question their delusions.
- Comment on An eggy smell is horrible if it comes unexpectedly, but arguably pleasant if you're eating an egg mayo sandwich 1 month ago:
I prefer a smoked roe spread in my egg sandwiches. Gives them a tasty saltyness that matches very well with the eggs. Not sure what mayonnaise would add flavour wise. Wouldn’t it be mostly egg with egg?
- Comment on We interrupt your happiness to bring you this special message from our sponsors 1 month ago:
My pet theory after observing friends and acquaintances growing up into adults (and hearing them speak on the subject) is that such behaviour can coincide with seriously considering suicide, but not going through with it (or failing). This can give a huge rush and sense of renewal, a new life where you don’t have to care about others anymore and are no longer bound by morals. Similar to how I’ve heard incel acquaintances describe being “black pilled”.

Saints Row Co-op over systemlink with a monitor each up on the sofa table (also a bong each on the sofa table).
Star Wars Galaxies before the horrible updates and Jedi inflation.
- Comment on It's interesting that we have multiple appliances in the kitchen who's sole job is to turn electricity into heat. 1 month ago:
And that most of these appliances are pretty much irrelevant in the modern world, just staying around because people think they need them. A convection oven with an induction stove on top replaces microwave, kettle, toaster etc.
