Aside from the weight, I don’t know why but I felt my setup was more shaky this way… That’s why the telescopic controller is still my way to go when I want to properly play on mobile.

I just leave them on and play my own way, what I got I got, what I didn’t I don’t bother… The same way I do with modern archivements.

Yeah I know, but Jellyfin is gonna be around when they stop doing this… I can hold a little longer 😁

Thanks, that clears everything up for me…
Now if you could set that URL from the server itself and not the client apps… Certainly I don’t think that’s an impossible task.

So how do they access from, let’s say a Smart TV/Android TV device?
- Comment on 4 reasons Plex is turning into the thing it replaced 3 weeks ago:
I already have to expose my Plex Media Server with a Tailscsle funnel (for IPv4 only) for IPv6 I use my Synology NAS reverse proxy which can be accessed globally.
I have been maining this setup for years now that I forgot if I can access my PMS outside without either those solutions lol (I am GGNATED but IPv6 works fine as stated).
The main thing here is that I don’t need my users to do anything, they just open the app and access it, no need to remember IPs/URLs or install VPNs to my server… Is that possible with Jellyfin as well?
- Comment on 4 reasons Plex is turning into the thing it replaced 3 weeks ago:
Just to think of replacing the mount points in the docker container from Plex to Jellyfin (in order for it to read my Riven and Decypharr symlinks) scares me… Mostly because after I finish a docker project my mind seems to go blank lol.
At least they still kinda honour the Plex Pass lifetime users…

Nice, I didn’t know about this game, I am gonna check it out.
For the curious, I found a nice mod project about Asphalt 8 called Asphalt 8 Retry it basically is an offline mod of the game with updated tracks, graphics and cards, I have been having a blast with it, definitely the ads killed the momentum for me with this one.

For real, I don’t consider myself a car lover/enthusiast, but it is a genre that has really grown on me, more like arcade racing, I think Burnout Legends and Domination for the PSP propelled this feeling lol.
Now I play Asphalt 8 regularly on my Android phone whenever I get the chance… But I really need a better alternative because I hate ads (and not seeking for emulation).

We’ll never get that feeling back.
What are you talking about? Console gamers still need to pay to play online!
Source I am a console gamer :(
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 4 weeks ago:
No, just as the other user suggested it I have not, hopefully that is not how the default view is… (because I have never modified that).
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 4 weeks ago:
Hell I gotta give it a try to this… I never even looked into its options because to me history section should work just as you stated it haha.
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 4 weeks ago:
I am 33 years old (so not a new internet user) and I somehow feel bookmarks need a redesign… Not exactly sure how I’d improve it (tags, AI grouping? Daily bookmark to see section? I don’t really know) but if the site I have saved doesn’t show up in the FF search bar… It might as well be lost forever (and that feature is case sensitive).
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 4 weeks ago:
LMAO, as a light “desktop/laptop” user I agree, if it wasn’t for tab hoarding I’d never hit 90% or more of the RAM usage of my 16 GB of RAM MacBook Pro that I have been maining since 2014 😂
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 4 weeks ago:
I used to love that shit in the iPod Touch web browsing days… But in the end it ended up being another tab hoarding container for me lol.
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 4 weeks ago:
If I need them again, browser history is there.
I think that browser history sucks in Firefox, I don’t know why, if it has, well history, recently viewed and recently closed sections, YET I can’t ever quickly find the one tab that I closed recently (but not that recently, recently enough to remember that I did) and it is shown days ago in the browser history which makes me always manually search for it and, oh boy if I remember a word differently from the site title I am in for a hard time…
I don’t specifically hoard tabs (I do with Simple Tab Groups) but this seemed like the perfect chance for me to rant about this… Man I remember that the history option showed you the last recent visited/viewed or closed page :/

if you can get past the DS touchscreen BS.
I always cry internally when somebody doesn’t like the DS and 3DS gimmicks :(
Thanks to you guys we all will only have Steam Deck clones as handhelds from now on! /s
To be honest I think most of the people that don’t like the touch gimmicks are emulating… But I have heard people with stock hardware complaining too :/

- Comment on What is your favorite Metroidvania? 5 weeks ago:
I played it for the 1st time, no nostalgia googles and I didn’t really enjoy the back tracking that much (even using the quick travel spots), the way to get the powers (you kinda need to remember where the monsters are) and discovering the secret rooms felt like a chore to me.
The only Castlevania games that I have played to completion have been Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin of ruin for DS, and regarding the genre, additionally to that, it would be Metroid Zero Mission, Guacamelee! And I think those are the ones I can remember… And I didn’t feel that way with them.
I did enjoy the OST and the graphics a lot though.

- Comment on While we eagerly await the second coming of Steam Machines, it's worth remembering what a gloriously awful mess Valve got itself in over a decade ago 1 month ago:
A friend of mine thinks it is gonna flop (tbh nobody knows), only because of that prior flop, he refuses to acknowledge that they might have learned of their mistakes, and hardly acknowledge that the Steam Deck is a success, only because it is a different market (he truly doesn’t believe in Steam hardware).
I for one am excited as I don’t have any PC gaming at the moment (or Steam Deck lol), I have been a console (and mostly handheld) gamer since the old days, and this bet on Steam makes sense for me in this day and age.

and from what I’ve seen of Valve’s quality control you probably wouldn’t want to risk that.
Wait, what? Care to expand on that?
I didn’t even want to engage with a non official purchase of the Steam Deck yet for what has been already established here, and reading this kills the excitement even further 😅

Now please Steam, officially sell to Mexico god damn it!

- Comment on Passkeys Explained: The End of Passwords 1 month ago:
I haven’t even bothered into understanding what passkeys are (I know, I should check it out thoroughly) but I think that at its core it requires your phone, and as I like messing around with my hardware installing custom roms and rooting I suppose this method will be pursued by Google so, just as NFC payments, I don’t give a single fuck about it 🤣
