From what I heard, Candy companies lobbied for a change in when the clock changes happen so that it would happen after Halloween and kids would have more daylight for trick or treating. And therefore more candy is purchased.

Shameless stolen comment: It’s fitting that International Women’s Day has only 23 hours.

Might as well skip the gameplay, give the achievements and trigger the good ending.

Ok, right off the bat the nested tooltips is a really cool system.

I’ve always loved the beginning of a Civ game, but kinda hated how bogged down the middle and late game get. So if this gives the feeling of early civ games, I’ll probably love it.

I’d do the same…
- Comment on Sony Pulls Back From PlayStation Games on PC 1 week ago:
Partly because newly released games are buggy and unfinished and they can take a while before they’re stable and quality of life features fully in place.
I don’t want to pay to be a beta tester, and I especially don’t want to pay full price for that. I can wait a bit and get a better game for cheaper.
I’ve only bought a couple of games on early release or at release lately. Deep Rock Galactic Survivor because it had a demo I enjoyed, and Hades 2 because I trust that studio and Hades is one of my favourite games.
- Comment on Earbugld question: Does anyone actually like to silicone tipped earbuds over the solid plastic ones? 2 weeks ago:
I accidentally put my earbuds though a wash cycle and borrowed some airpods for the gym while waiting for replacements. I don’t understand how a solid one-size-fits all approach can be so popular. With silicone tips you can have different sizes. I actually use a different size for each ear.
- Comment on Why are we not getting stress relief games where we take our stresses out on normal people? 3 weeks ago:
Dynasty Warriors has been my stress relief game. I just love jumping into a hoard of enemies and just start swinging.

Like Batman where the bat on his chest is reinforced because it draws fire.

We just started reading those books at bedtime so I’ll be able to report if I see that word in there.
- Comment on Epstein Files: X Users Are Asking Grok to 'Unblur' Photos of Children 4 weeks ago:
I wondered if the word had something to do with a googol (I learned that word from World Book Encyclopedia kids books), but I figured my young son didn’t know that word yet and just invented some word using Google. Crazy how language can get around on the playground.
- Comment on Epstein Files: X Users Are Asking Grok to 'Unblur' Photos of Children 4 weeks ago:
Wait, what? My son has been using “googleplex” when he wants a really big number. I thought it was a weird word he made up. I guess it’s a thing….

- Comment on Duke Nukem 3D 30th Anniversary Tribute | The Voice, Creators, and Legends Behind the King 5 weeks ago:
That was a fun watch. I played through the most recent edition of the game with developer commentary, and that was really neat to listen to the developers talk about certain details about the level or what certain areas reminded them of, or a developer who had passed away and what they had done. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything about the Duke Nukem voice actor, so that was new for me.

You can play it on Linux, and from what I hear the anti cheat isn’t as invasive. I don’t need to use sudo to run the game.

Congrats on the year anniversary! I don't always click on your posts, but when they show up in my feed I'm always happy to see it. I'll have to try out Uncharted 4 since that's your top game in the Best Of section.
When I'm playing games, I never think about taking screenshots. How do you manage to take so many? Do you have the mentality while playing that you're always on the lookout for interesting shots to take? Do you have your finger hovered over the print screen button?
