Unfortunately, the Lugoli bug is still a thing, after the patch. Saw it happen on a stream from before the patch, then got it myself a couple days ago.
FYI, supposedly if it happens, you should close out and reopen the entire game, or it will continue happening.

Every player I know had a lot of trouble with her, because they didn’t vash their head against the Craw gauntlet first, like I did, and get Silk Storm, which makes her ADDs laughable. And fair enough, I think the Craw gauntlet is supposed to filter you until well after Sister Splinter.

Not Makoto, Sadayo Kawakami. Still Persona 5.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 15 minutes and counting now 3 weeks ago:
The highly-anticipated sequel to 2017’s indie hit video game Hollow Knight. 2-time winner of “Most Anticipated Game” at the Unity Awards, and 3-time winner of “Most Wanted Game” at the Golden Joystick Awards. The most-wish-listed game on Steam, up until its release today.

2.5 hours and counting. 🥲
- Comment on ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN - A high-difficulty Expedition mode, "Deep of Night," has appeared 4 weeks ago:
Sounds like maybe this is the “ranked mode” that rumors were going around about? Thank god, if so, the last thing this game needs is more incentive for players to be competitive against each other.
Neat concept, it sounds like. They really are just using this game as an excuse to try every new idea they have, aren’t they?

So, the word floating around is that the studio is using generative AI as part of the animation process for this show. I don’t suppose anyone has details on this? If we’re talking about animators and artist supplementing their own work, that’s quite a bit different than the studio using it, or enforcing use, in an effort to replace or underpay animators. I’d be interested to hear the opinions of the animators themselves, but unless they’re unionized, I can’t imagine we’ll ever hear their opions.

The company says that AI companies have scraped data from the Wayback Machine, so it’s going to limit what the Wayback Machine can access.
Yeah, wouldn’t want those AI companies to get all that data for free. Gotta make 'em pay for it.

A) And yet, not long after, Andor blew people’s expectations out of the water.
B) Then stop making games exclusively based off of third party IPs.
- Comment on Meta used AI to concoct low-carbon concrete it poured for a datacenter floor 2 months ago:
This appears to be a rare proper use of machine-learning tech.
No, they did not ask ChatGPT to whip them up a concrete mix. They (in co-operation with engineers) trained a mathematical model specifically for the task of predicting the performance of concrete mixes, in order to narrow down the number of mixes to do (time-intensive) real-world testing on. With a focus on also predicting the carbon-emission impact of the mixes.
This is the kind of technology we need more of. Not LLM slop.

I re-watched the movie a few months ago, and I had a similar realization: it was quite depressing to see a depiction of NASA that is now entirely lost to us.

Same concept as how Trump gave no written order for the Jan 6 mob to storm the capitol building, therefore he’s totally not responsible for it.

These are raw marshmallows. Yeah, it’s unbelievable how big they are, but that’s just cause they’re fresh and haven’t dried out yet.
