Same. It should be illegal for them to be forcing this shit on us. At least I only have to endure it on my work pc. No windows on personal devices

I hate to do it, but we should Shift the conversation to something else.
- Comment on EA reportedly shelves Need For Speed completely to focus on other projects 4 days ago:
I agree, except I feel shift 2 was a neat blip with cool features , for those who like circuit racing, which really isn’t what nfs is about though.
- Comment on EA reportedly shelves Need For Speed completely to focus on other projects 4 days ago:
Oh I hated unbound. The music, voice acting etc was so pandering and gross. The animations were kind of neat though.

I LIVED for these games as a kid. They’re a shell of what they were. Luckily, i can play nfs hp2 on my ps2 all day long and live in 2002 happily !

Lots of people addicted. Never had it, thought it was stupid when it came out.
- Comment on What is this new Bitchat scam that crypto-bros think is good? 1 week ago:
Im just skeptical of it, since similar solutions exist with briar, matrix, Irc, signal…sure theyre not all the same, but I fail to see how something a crypto scammer is trying to push could be good.
- Comment on YSK that apart from not having a car, the single greatest thing you can do for the climate is simply eating less red meat 1 week ago:
Thats crazy!! I do eat it, but not very often. However I do a lot to offset it, but still. Hard to get other foods that make you feel full and get you protein like a good steak though.

Well, it can’t clean toilets or build roads, so you can still do that for your elite billionaire overlords, and they may give you a prison cell to exist in!
- Comment on 60% of Teachers Used AI This Year and Saved up to 6 Hours of Work a Week 1 week ago:
Yep, and who owns the models? Billionaires. What are billionaires always? Conservatives. It isn’t hard to connect the dots on why this path is not a good one.

Its HIGHLY addictive, especially to idiots. They feel smart using it. Which is so ironic I can’t stand it.

You have a good point. But it’s there in your post; “feeling” connected. But for many people, they actually aren’t. They feel connected because of notifications and little dings that give them dopamine, much like a rat in a test lab hitting buttons for treats. Thats why I am surprised no one sees this.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 1 week ago:
Exactly. Keep the poors in their dumb little walled garden social media so they don’t ever learn everything. Thr average person now is terrified of the Internet if ut isn’t Google or meta. Ironically, the things they trust are the most evil of all by far.

Im one of the few on here that actually has a life outside of just my phone and computer, sorry guys. Those things are great but many are far too dependent and addicted to a fleeting thing.

Well Jimmy, people used to be humans and converse in person hard to believe I know.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 1 week ago:
I feel the same ! Like are we this brainwashed ?? Plus theyre not even reading articles or anything to improve themselves, it’s endless TikTok scrolling. Also, im not old, and I can still see it. So it’s not really an old person thing. More of a “have we literally become idiots addicted to a shiny screen” type thing.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 1 week ago:
Am i the only one who wishes this was common? Put your stupid phones away. How have we not matured enough to not be so addicted to little flashy lights.
- Comment on What's up with the sudden increase in AI slop? 1 week ago:
There’s really nothing good about ai if you really look into it. MAYBE medical advances, and thats it.

- Comment on Disturbed 2 weeks ago:
Yes thats true. However I always do say at least back then people had to learn and put time into music (even what we consider bad). There is a lot of great music now but the majority of the population wont hear it ever because they are brainwashed by Ai pop music. At least in ye olden day, good music that took talent was promoted (Boston, for example). The good news is now we have access to the old and the new music !

That is awesome. A little beyond me but I’ve played in docker a bit. Is a VPN needed to keep your ip from being exposed ?
Is just using an existing searxng instance just less secure then?
