I do believe that people operate at different vibrational frequencies…like you know the person who comes in the room and there’s just a creepy dark energy? It happens. Its not voodoo weird stuff but there’s definitely a 6th sense about people that’s present.

I think I’m surrounded by assholes who happen to have kids is the issue. And you’re judged if you don’t…
Maga land, sigh

Very true!

Nope, I live in maga land though, so these people are a very common sight in the tri state area
Wrong. I own cars. I don’t own a megacab 4 door luxury truck that drives 1 person around and put me 80k in debt. You dont realize how common this is.

This is basically the point I was trying to make. And you think those people with kids volunteer or help the community? In most cases heck no. They’re too busy getting Timmy to soccer to ever care about the well being of their community.
Note I’m sure Lemmy parents aren’t of this variety, obviously
- Comment on From what I see in the US, people having kids are fucking up the world for kids more than people without kids 2 days ago:
You nailed it. Well, they’re trying to be rich, but they’re bankrupt or in debt, temporarily embarrassed millionaires, who vote against their own interests and buy the biggest possible trucks to drive to Walmart in. They dont give a fuck about anyone else.
- Comment on From what I see in the US, people having kids are fucking up the world for kids more than people without kids 2 days ago:
Oh no, its fully the billionaires who are the utmost evil. But they’ve brainwashed a lot of simple minded folk with kids because those people tend to have a lot of fear in their lives (what about the children!!!)
Again, this is my perspective from the US.

Well, if you wanna say that, all stores are bad, capitalism is evil, stop buying things and go live in a cave 😁
There is not one store out there that’s not evil, because capitalism relies on exploiting the poor and weak and less intelligent. That’s how it is. Unless you go live off grid in Alaska but guess what you’ll still have to import products made with slave labor.
Again, Lemmy being angry because we aren’t perfect. Using eBay or a small store instead of amazon is astronomically better than buying your funko pop collection on amazon.

Huh, bad luck. I’ve been using eBay for 20 years with maybe 2 issues and they’ve always been resolved.

I tried to preface this with “what I see In the US”. Your experience may differ. But this subset is a very real one, and they live in areas where their votes count more than you.

Getting to that! I have a multimeter and an o scope. I just need to know the test points which I think now I do. Thanks immensely for the help! Hoping JTS that green cap and not the 4050 chip…
Its just odd to me that 6 months ago it wormed perfect when i put it in the box. That’s what makes me think the cap finally gave out.
Also interesting, when using paddle controllers the fire button works fine. They use a different pin I think since those are 2 controllers on 1 port.

Yeah personally I don’t get it, but its cool. It just takes too much time for me.
Same with me and my vhs tapes. It takes so long to arcvhive them and a thousand other people already did it and put them all on the archive. All I do want upload are some home taped shows that may have rare ads that people wanna see.

Americans are all brainwashed to think they NEED a 8 seater 35 ft long suburban, that they drive alone 99% of the time.
My miata works 95% of the time for me. And I have a longbox pickup (no ac, all manual, no radio, single cab) for actual work (8ft boards and drywall etc)
The issue is peoples’ f 150 boy howdy y’all quaeda edition is their status symbol for dick dize.

True, but its a start! We win not by everything at once. Small steps.

Its true, but perfect is the enemy of good. If 10,000 people quit using amazon right now, that’s a huge difference. And millions of people use it.

I mean Walmart wiped out every other store so that’s usually where “poor” people have to go, especially in small towns. Amazon is doing it on a much larger scale.
- Comment on (XMPP Setup Guide) Discord Was Never the End Game - TonyBTW 4 days ago:
This is always the problem. Internet folk are normal now, they dont have tech skills. In ye olden time we were used to irc and mumble and had no problem switching to other clients if needed. Now people freak out that they need to make a new account somewhere else to leave discord and good luck explaining something like Matrix to them!

Its always the plan. Walmart. Discord. They all do the exact same thing. Which is why we must resist.

Wrong, CRTs are getting very hard to find now and people smash them for fun. 10 years they’ll all be gone or many thousands of dollars.
Where did you find those TVs? I’d like to know!
- Comment on Amazon BUSTED for Widespread Scheme to Inflate Prices Across the Economy— Amazon, its vendors, and competing retailers are price fixing, hiking up prices for consumer products 4 days ago:
Yeah, these people saying they NEED amazon probably didn’t live in ye olden days without internet. We survived then, you can survive now.
There’s thousands if not millions of sellers all over the internet. People are lazy/dumb and just want to 1 click buy and are scared to go anywhere but amazon.
- Comment on Amazon BUSTED for Widespread Scheme to Inflate Prices Across the Economy— Amazon, its vendors, and competing retailers are price fixing, hiking up prices for consumer products 4 days ago:
Sure, but there’s many people who are wealthy enough to make the choice and still use amazon because they dont know any better. And this is what happens.

Use eBay or literally any other site. What is so specific to amazon that you need ?
