I can see that. We wfh if we want and people who want to be in the office to waste hours talking to others about sportsball can do so!

- Comment on Hundreds of Millions of Audio Devices Need a Patch to Prevent Wireless Hacking and Tracking 2 days ago:
The quiet issue is due to impedance. You need a better amplifier than your phones garbage dac. High ohm headphones require more juice.
I dont listen to headphones on the go really. Only in office. Usually it sounds awful and there’s too much noise around me to enjoy it, and I prefer to enjoy music on my actual listening setup at home amyway, headphones will always sound worse due to no depth. But im weird about sound. Music isnt background noise to me.

Yeah if youre buying headphones on Amazon or Walmart, you’ll get shit.
I refuse to shop at either of those places for anything really. Wish others would be brave enough to do so as well and stop giving billionaires money for no reason.

Beyer dt 770. Very tough.
My mains are those, grado rs2, and senn hd595. Some sony md7506 but I hate the sound on them.

My wired headphones dont have this issue, likely sound far better, require no batteries, and are user serviceable.
Guys, we peaked in 2012 (potentially earlier) as a race technologically, stop trying to create new grifts for billionaires.

That is true and a large part of why I do love how linux mostly has stayed the same for 20 years in its basic form. I was able to apply a lot of the things I had remembered from years ago when I used it briefly.

I made a post about thia exact thing a couple of weeks ago! I will give my money to people not using ai bullshit, and if theyre liars, they wont see a cent from me again. People need to stand up and have some damn principles about this.

Fellow project car and house enthusiast here!!
I sometimes forget others dont have these massive time sucks and can afford to troubleshoot for hours. I cant! Even though its kind of fun, I have shit to do.

Na sorry, hes right.
For someone who doesn’t spend every moment on their pc, its daunting and takes energy to learn and remember all of this just to make your pc run.

Not really, just because something is old doesn’t mean its bad. We dont want to lose handwriting as a society when all of our devices are dumb terminals linked to bezosnet and youre not allowed to type anything bad about Dear Leader.

I agree. Probably not profitable to the company though. Gotta keep those server costs covered…
It’d be nice if people could make a living off art but capitalism is against that at every turn especially now. Art shouldn’t even be related to money in some people’s opinions .

Thats not their model, and that model also sucks ass for supporting other humans.
I am one of those weirdos who likes to own my media. There are few of us geezers left, but luckily enough that bandcamp exists.

Keep it up bandcamp. We are all waiting for when you enshittify like everyone else but you’ve held it at bay so far.

My problem is the only thing local people here use is Facebook, and im not comfortable posting things on there that the drumpf regime is going to consider terrorism.
People arent tech literate enough to communicate via other means…

- Comment on Should speakers hum when they're connected to a stereo, but the volume of is turned all the way down? 6 days ago:
There’s zero profit in this. The overhead of storage and broken equipment would be insanely high and impossible to manage. Not to mention old gear is a lot heavier, more expensive to ship.
No to mention people interested in cool old gear are as rare as unicorns these days. Young people couldn’t care less for the most part. Most of them wouldn’t know what soldering even is, theyre not gonna try to repair old gear when their phone can do everything.
Nope those days are gone. Now you either suck it up and pay thousands for quality or hope you get lucky at a garage sale! Or there are still cool antique stores here and there that are carrying good old gear that they test out and sell relatively cheap.

True. I dont care about any of that, just sound and analog inputs, so id never buy used unless it was actually a high quality or boutique build. Or better yet a kit!

Ugh. Well they got all my shit already so no point changing now. I use my friends dropbox and hes a photographer and videographer for a living. Ironic that the very service hes paying for is going to scrape his data and replace him.
Most people ive ran into have no idea how to even access a file if its not in a Google drive or dropbox so good luck getting them to understand anything else. My friends complain non stop that I dont use corporate services for every single thing like they do 🙄

I am positive all these roms are out there already. It would be neat to dump a couple saves but I dont wanna shell out for the hardware to don’t right now as I spent way too much on other accessories recently !

I see! OK looking at that unit, it doesn’t appear to have a separate ground. Although it does seem to be a low build quality which could be causing your issue. If you wanted you could try running it on DC power since that would be filtered, it could fix your issue.
Are the in wall speakers on a different amplifier?

These games are so disgusting. Sad that kids get so addicted to them.
At least in my day they only took a few quarters from ya
