Dwarf fortress :)

I have never heard of memory training? What is this? Something new with DDR5?

Only had FB but yes, if they want me to attend they have to reach out some other way. I also moved to another city so I can’t attend as much any more anyway but sometimes it is a bit lonely. No regrets however.

Really? Now I am old but should have started using a bit of paper way earlier than I did. You can squeeze out a couple of drips every time, try it, use a bit of paper.

Also men that don’t want pee drips in their pants.

Imagine if it will all be under water. We all fear and dread those under water temples in Zelda etc.
- Comment on What are your gaming highlights of 2025? 6 days ago:
Oh yeah. Abiotic is a throwback to half-life in graphic sense. I love it and played it a lot with friends. Very well made game in all regards.
- Comment on What are your gaming highlights of 2025? 6 days ago:
I play a lot of games every year and nowhere complete anything so whatever I do complete they go into great games I recommend to friends.
Clair obscure expedition 33 was my highlight of the year. Long time since a game made me cry and laugh like this one. Completed chapter 2 but then I had enough but I want to return and look more at this and the next chapter.
No rest for the wicked is in EA but it totally captivated me for a couple of weeks. Had a lot of fun and looking forward to multiplayer and playing with my friends. I love that the devs are following their own vision and doing stuff a little bit different.
Reality Break. This one is a bit odd. I managed to buy the wrong game somehow but this was totally a hidden gem for me. No regrets and they had some big updates after I was done so I plan to return one day.
Metaphor Re Fantazio. My first game like this one and while I never completed it it made a mark.
Heart of the machine will get a small spotlight also. Very different game and something that I really have to visit again when it releases in 1.0.
I guess my 2026 will be a lot of revisits and (hopefully!!) less buying games. Another good overhaul mod of Factorio would save me a lot of money and Guild wars 2 occupies quite a bit of my gaming time.

“better off just buying a PC”.
It is a PC.
- Comment on If Valve creates an "entry point" for living room PCs, the console-beating Steam Machines will follow, argues Baldur's Gate 3's publishing director 4 weeks ago:
Bazzite did that for me. Installing and getting a game up and running took me 20 minutes. No fuzz. All drivers and software self update.

- Comment on Valve Announces New Steam Machine, Steam Controller & Steam Frame 5 weeks ago:
Because form and function is not the same thing. I don’t look at the controller while playing just like I dont give a damn how my keyboard look as long as it feels good and does what it is supposed to do.
- Comment on Valve Announces New Steam Machine, Steam Controller & Steam Frame 5 weeks ago:
I am European but no. That would increase the price and i believe valve wants to sell as cheap as possible.
- Comment on Gamepad for Linux Gaming? 5 weeks ago:
This. It costs more but you will have a controller that will last years. Have used 8bitdo pro2 for a couple of years after rage quitting the Nintendo pro whatever it is named to switch for its worthless d-pad. Recently picked up a 8bitdo pro3 and yes, it cost a lot but it will probably be my only controller for many years now. Buying something that breaks after a year will cost you more in the long run. It’s expensive to be cheap.
- Comment on Northgard Definitive Edition announced for December with expanded content 1 month ago:
Isnt there like a gazzilion different Clans? You get… 3 or did I miss something? Being definitive edition and missing all dlc sounds like a scam imho.
- Comment on Amazon cutting thousands of corporate roles [including video games] 1 month ago:
Dont think this has anything to do with how their game was going. Either that or this was already planned since a couple of months ago. New world recently gained a lot more players according to steam stats so it makes no sense to quit it now. Feel sorry for the devs even if the game wasn’t for me (never played it).

I also bought this for playing pirates games. Never really tried the PSO game however which I regret now. I still got a TV I could play this on and I guess it is not too late.

I repair stuff at work and this is my everyday almost. Check how stuff works, then try to fix it. Very good advice but most people are too lazy to even try to understand or explore today. When people seem interested at what i am doing i try to explain to them how I think and what I do or how stuff works. I love it.
- Comment on The Video-Game Industry Has a Problem: There Are Too Many Games 2 months ago:
Yeah, i bought it too when it came to steam but also donated about 50 dollars back around 2009 I think. It is worth it even if I don’t really play it any more.
- Comment on The Video-Game Industry Has a Problem: There Are Too Many Games 2 months ago:
Considering the hours you put in a good building game just about every one of them is “free”. But yeah, OpenTTD is great and a lot of fun. TTDX was my first PC game which was an instant buy (before I even had a computer but was getting one in a couple of months) after I saw a review on TV. The 90s was something else.
- Comment on In a week dominated by Silksong and Borderlands, co-op roguelike Shape of Dreams still managed to launch on Steam as an instant top-seller 2 months ago:
Why can’t a game you haven’t heard about be in the top sellers? I did hear about it a couple of weeks ago, played the demo and it was a no brainer for me to buy it.
How Steam measures whatever sells what I don’t know but it can be 15 minutes of fame for smaller studios also. If the game is good, it is earned imo.

I have no clue why it says MOBA gameplay because it is nothing like a MOBA unless there are multiple definitions on that term. The only thing is that you have 4 (5) skills?
Played the demo for like 8 hours which was enough for getting all my 5 chars to level 10 or more which feel enough to put on whatever in the skilltree.
Agree with the slow progress however but I don’t mind too much. I have a lot of fun with the game.

This doesn’t look good… I hope I am wrong but definitely not buying day one.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 15 minutes and counting now 3 months ago:
I am asking this as I am interested in how other people choose games and think about things but you choose games to buy by the looks of it or does gameplay mechanics play any role in it?
I have been playing games since 1988 so I have played a lot of stuff during my whole life but I have never considered only buying games of a certain genre or camera perspective etc. Gameplay is what catches me and the amount of indie games in my library is proof of this. That said I mostly play to see and experience different rules and mechanics in games. Very seldom I finish a game because once I figured it out it is probably dead to me as I find something new to play. There are exceptions of course. And yes, I know I have a problem 😂

Can confirm. Snapped the shit out of those buttons and it finally worked.

I think they are out of keys. Doesn’t list the game any more, only the soundtrack.
