For the record, I support piracy and don’t mind that people listen to my music for free. I don’t like other companies making money off it though. They didn’t make it, they don’t get to use it to make money.
Its not so much the money I’m not making, it’s the theft of hard work artists put in and corporations profit off of that makes me upset.
In 2019 the only way to reach people was Spotify. It’s still kinda the biggest game in town. It’s slowly changing but the business and ideas of digital ownership of rights were different 7 years ago.

I’m an artist with music on Spotify. I honestly don’t know how I feel about this.
I know Metallica got a lot of shit about Napster back in the day, but I can’t help but feel like they were right. They were (by my recollection) trying to ensure artists still have a claim to their body of work. I know the industry has come so far since then, but it feels like the moment everything started to slowly become “content” and not art.
I just want real people to actually enjoy my music. I don’t expect to make a living or even real money off my music, but I also don’t like someone else making money off my art and using it to train AI models.
I made something meaningful, no one else gets to decide that they wanna commodify it or use it to make slop.
- Comment on Looking for 3D Platformer recommendations on sale on Steam 2 weeks ago:
Surprised I haven’t seen Hell Pie here yet. Pretty solid physics and fun mechanics. The humor is a bit crude and sometimes kinda edge-lord l, but the game play is solid.
Ruffy and the Riverside. Really interesting concept with editing terrain and your environment.
Gex Trilogy is pretty good if you’re into old-school platformers. It aged better than I thought.
Megabonk is basically 3D vampire survivors, and that rules.
- Comment on Video Game Physical Software and Hardware Sales Just Had the Worst November in the U.S. Since 1995 - IGN 3 weeks ago:
Switch 2 has a much healthier margin than Switch. Nintendo is actually making money on the hardware this time. They don’t have the lineup or the services to justify the hardware being a loss leader and won’t until probably 2027.
Here’s to hoping the Steam Machine is $799 or less.

Good, maybe now prices for them will finally come back down to reality. $500 for a switch is bonkers and $800 for an Xbox of any variety is outright criminal.

You’re not wrong. That being said, I don’t hate Safari mobile, it’s pretty solid and has great compatibility. There’s something to be said for using the hardware most of the web if generally designed for.

Would love to see an iOS version. I do enjoy the FireFox functionality of seeing tabs on other devices easily.

- Comment on Question on TV's 2 months ago:
Most people will recommend avoiding any “smart” features on the TVs sets and say buy a monitor cause they have no smart features. Rightfully so, TVs can be privacy nightmares potentially.
That said I have recommendations for both:
Midrange TV pick: LG 48B5 - $529 at Best Buy
Fancy smaller Monitor Asus ROG Swift 32 OLED Monitor
Premium TV LG C5 (Available in 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, and 83 inch)
Ultra Premium LG G5 (Available in 55, 65, 77, and 83 inch)
Budget TV TCL QM7K
Budget Monitor Samsung G5 series
Pound for pound dollar for dollar LG makes the best OLEDs and overall TVs. Sony is good but not worth the premium anymore.

Resident Evil on a treadmill isn’t strenuous?! Mad lad territory.
I love a simple but satisfying puzzle game like Peggle, Nubbys Number Factory, Hexic, Lumines etc
- Comment on ROG Xbox Ally Is $700 And Xbox Ally X Is $1050 5 months ago:
I think people underestimate what consumers are actually willing to pay for high end gaming hardware. Their pitch is going to be that it’s a PC with Xbox compatibility. For most gamers looking at this, their competing option would be a gaming laptop.
Or it could be a fat fucking flop cause it’s overpriced and has a stupid fucking name.

I always viewed PUSA as a more original rock flavored Weird Al. Similar energy, but they did their own thing.
Fun fact, the lead singer went on to write many albums of children’s music as Caspar Baby Pants.

If memory serves me right, this was supposed to be a “Steamboat Willie” game originally. When the copyright expired this was one of the trailers I remember making headlines. It looks like they decided to make it their own. Honestly it looks so well done, I’m happy they just decided to do their own thing.
