Videogames in fact dictate my real world behavior, but I am stuck because I can’t find the double jump or the wall climb anywhere. =C

Campbells work has been debunked by a lot of researchers, not only it cherry picks data; it pushed the lie that his little structure is universal while ignoring a lot of cultures and and traditional story structures that pay no attention to it. It is a very popular story structure in the mainstream west because it is very manipulative towards the audience. Frank Herbert hated Campbell; The Dune novels have thematic elements that go against the hero’s journey on purpose.

There will always be passionate developers eager to put down the work and make good games. There will be a lot of shit they will try to shovel down our throats, but it’s just as easy to ignore it.

I don’t need to use llm’s for anything if that is what you are asking and I certainly support human creators. a prompt is not creating anything it is a coin in a vending machine.

I’d say a game developer that has so little respect for their craft as to resort to generative AI does not deserve my time , my money or my attention

- Comment on Is anyone NOT steaming their Music? 5 weeks ago:
I still have an mp3 collection. Mainly because I like a lot of obscure artists you can’t find in streaming services and I despise algorithm recommendations. I never liked fucking youtube because they always would put a lot of useless trash in the recommendations. So I shut down recommendation history, I stay away from their music services and I’m never giving them a single penny. I still buy CD’s whenever I can, hey at least a CD is proof I’m listening to a real musician and not some AI slop.
For the most part I’ve always hated music streaming services because they feel very insular. There is no sense of fandom and community by design. They are designed to wall in the user and keep them hooked to the fucking algorithm; That betrays the spirit of musical community I was used to. I feel tech companies ruined the joy of collecting music and I am glad piracy is coming back. All of these streaming services can fuck off.

Played this one a few years back , and I was laughing my ass off and enjoying myself all the way through. The sequel is pretty awesome as well with the little difference that it pulls a bit more on the heartstrings.
I always thought the first game would be a great candidate for a modern remaster or remake.
- Comment on Poll: Majority of Mexicans think bilateral relationship with US is deteriorating 2 months ago:
The world is not black and white; But if we are attacked by the Americans we will need allies that at least bring up the subject, not allies that will be trying to hide the fact or arrest any student that protests the wrong doing. Also is rather weirs seeing you start the comment with “the world is not black and white” and then state some players are “outright evil.” Which is it? Whichever doesn’t suits your particular interests?
- Comment on Poll: Majority of Mexicans think bilateral relationship with US is deteriorating 2 months ago:
Well given that European countries like Germany and England actively sold weapons for the Gaza genocide, and that the European Union is acting like a lapdog to the Americans; I am curious to learn what are in your opinion the “good guys” in this world moral alignment.
- Comment on Poll: Majority of Mexicans think bilateral relationship with US is deteriorating 2 months ago:
I believe that there needs to be a counterweight. While America’s position as a dominant sociopolitical player continues. The shadow of their manipulation and warmongering will always be over us. Then there are the environmental factors. The spreading culture of hate we’ve seen spread from America in the last decade, All the Atrocities they’ve done in Latin America. The drug cartels inside the American Army, the growing threat of their war machine even during Democratic governments.
I don’t think this is a question of taking sides. But of a monster that was allowed for decades to grow too large.
