- Comment on You could learn to imitate the art "style" of AI slop, and it would be one of the most difficult skills to learn while also being one of the least rewarding ever 2 weeks ago:
Counterpoint: AI slop does not have a “style” But instead it is the average of all the styles trained on it. It is a series of visual tropes: for example the odd glossy sheen it tends to have. The oversaturated colors; the tendency to frame centered subjects like social media posts; the rigid composition of clip art and stock images; Even the best image or video generations tend to all have these traits and it’s hard to coerce them to move away from them.
So in a time where even human made media media tends to be flattened and averaged by the over influence of pop culture, the biggest disservice you can give yourself as a creative is making your work even more sterile by imitating AI generations.

Considering a lot of these corporations , including gaming services, all have the side project of moving their products to the cloud. I imagine they know the bubble is going to pop and their bet is to use the chaos to restructure as many services as possible as rent seeking.

Not a defense of AI, but in general the Epstein coalition has just been skirting the line between mentally challenged and cartoon villain every time they open their mouth. Even without an llm’s these are the most depraved people in the world.

In my eyes the AI bubble is an attempt of monopolization of all white collar industries by a fue tech oligarch degenerates. Thins will get increasingly worse if we let them.
- Comment on Generative AI Use Among Game Developers Falls to 29% in 2026, Survey Shows | Outlook Respawn 2 weeks ago:
The main difference between Ai and the .com bubble is that AI has it’s enshitification built in. Tech companies are in unison degrading their products and engaging in anti consumer practices that would not fly in the .com era. Ai will follow a regular tech “disruption cycle” it will be sold as a discount to game devs as a miracle tool and when they are dumb enough to de-skill they will raise the prices 500% and give a more neutered product compared to their own monopolies.
And with that aside what a waste of my life to throw away on the creative output of a machine. Especially with so many great games out there. If every game in the future is made by a fucking AI i can just sit back and ang enjoy the human made backlog. Or search for communities of humans who still enjoy creating.

Latino here, surprised how somebody would not like avocado while i eat some fried flautas with fresh cheese cream and avocado on top; With that said; My family rarely eats avocado alone, we add it to a soup to give it a fresh taste. put peppers cilantro and onions to make guacamole, add it to tuna salad.

- Comment on Consumer hardware is no longer a priority for manufacturers 1 month ago:
But i feel it’s not a matter of the Industry adapting into an entirely different ecosystem. As in, i don’t think that China will be taking over the computer industry. I feel it will be more of an issue of giving American companies and their anti-consumer practices something they haven’t had during their lifetimes: Real competition. I feel a lot of attitudes could change once they are in an ecosystem where they don’t have the luxury of monopolies and closed environments and i feel we are long overdue for having new players in this difficult field. It’s not about being a China shill either but in the end competition is good for the consumer. It’s concerning that all American tech industries are in bed with each other and also in bed with a government bent in global control and totalitarian surveillance. I don’t think Chinese manufacturers could be exempt from these dangers but at least it will give consumers the possibilities to pick their poison.
Also, GPU and graphics standards have changed in less than decades. We can still play old games in new software. AAA Developer models are clearly dying and new standards for Indie and AA development are emerging. Some of the hottest games this year could be defined as made by indie studios. So instead of hitting a wall i feel gaming in general could be moving into a new paradigm and i sure as hell wish that paradigm is not cloud computing.
I am not a dedicated gamer. I am from south America and I am playing Expedition 33 with full graphics on a 10 year old, entry range GPU on an old AMD CPU with 32 gigs of DDR 4 memory. And I’m having fun! And this rig works great for my job with a variety of open sourced and pirated software. I don’t need the latest and the greatest. I just need something that gives me results at an affordable price. Lets say that for the next 5 years that might be the new standard as the industry self corrects.
