Do it! You’ll probably find like-minded users. Don’t forget PixelFed and Loops too.
Although maybe you could just contribute to Mbin or fork it, cause I feel like it already does all of this?
- Comment on 28 minutes ago:
Even more than per product, it’s generally per category of products. You can run Lemmy, Mbin, or PieFed and get access to the Threadiverse. The devs actually do a good job with the interop when it fits the format of their site.
- Comment on 43 minutes ago:
It doesn’t seem too popular
This is probably why it’s not a focus for developers. If Mbin was some huge success, it would show demand for the feature, and more developers would prioritize it higher.
- Comment on 44 minutes ago:
I really don’t mind having a separate account for Lemmy and Mastodon. It’s not pleasant to force different types of content into different website formats, even if the implementation is “ideal”.

but B is the most right.
C is most correct canonical URL actually. See the HTML at the bottom of this screenshot

More confirmation that C is the canonical URL. Check the <head> section in the HTML (bottom of the screenshot)

I don’t think there’s a quick way to get link B, but C is literally called the canonical URL. Check the <head> section in the HTML.

C is the original, not B
for example, this post’s permalink is piefed.social not lemmy.world

unfortunately there’s a nearly 0% chance that such a project would make the kind of money that EA wants from their games

I actually loved the mechanics of this game, the gunplay and flying controls were so tight
- Comment on Is the Fediverse stalling? 21 hours ago:
so people still have to choose an instance to login to? this is just to save you from creating an account which is like 25 keystrokes and 4 clicks?
I also don’t really want to make things easier for people who get banned often, sounds like it would be easier for trolls to bounce between hundreds of instances with fewer accounts.
- Comment on Is the Fediverse stalling? 22 hours ago:
But then who is your admin team? People don’t want to deal with spam and trolls.
- Comment on Is the Fediverse stalling? 1 day ago:
Actually I’m not sure that’s possible yet! Seems like you have to use Lemmy or something to browse them in that way.

Yeah I think so, although I’m not familiar with Xenforo.

The fundamental failure of the fediverse that is limiting us is that accounts are not transportable. We need some decentralised ledger of accounts that can be cryptographically verified with a zero trust system. U just set up a oidc server to do that auth and that plugs into every single fediverse application everywhere.
I’ve never felt this was as important as people say, at least here in the Threadiverse I don’t see it being important. Can you explain how this would help Lemmy/PieFed?
- Comment on Is the Fediverse stalling? 1 day ago:
Better UX I think, not easy when we have such good decentralization. Maybe PieFed will end up hooking people better?

It’s old traditional forum software, they recently added ActivityPub support

I can’t believe they waited so long to enable Proton by default lol

If you prefer the UI of one to another now you have to create a brand new community which is going to take time to fill. I use old.lemmy.world because I like the old reddit UI
I think there’s a misunderstanding?
You can use remote communities, for example: !linux@lemmy.ml for you is old.lemmy.world/c/linux@lemmy.ml

and off topic, but why the hell do the SA2 treasure hunting stages only do radar for the “next piece”?? SA1 has the radar active for all 3 pieces, so there’s way less back and forth

Sonic Adventure 1. I love the hub worlds and how the stories of the different characters intertwine in the shared areas. And I love the variety of characters and being able to freely choose which one to advance (unlike Sonic Adventure 2…)

So lemmy.ca and piefed.ca have different feeds altogether when I view them, are they two separate things then?
Separate things, just the same admin I guess. You can follow the same communities from either one.
I have a Mastodon account and I haven’t sorted out any way to post on/read lemmy content with it
On Mastodon, follow the account for this community, just Mastodon uses @ instead of ! so it’s
@fediverse@lemmy.world
and you can post to the community by mentioning it - Comment on Putting ads for old.Lemmy.world on reddit would make this site perfect. 3 weeks ago:
There is not enough people on this site
If you’re looking for more content, I would suggest subscribing to more communities: lemmyverse.net/communities

I think you misunderstood, ada was suggesting using a different server than lemmy.world
