“Everyone” had nothing to do with my reply. You were saying that transphobia was not common. I quoted the relevant statistic from the survey you linked that implied otherwise.

Thirty-one percent of U.S. adults disapprove of transgender and nonbinary adults living their lives as they wish
That sure doesn’t sound like a niche thing

The pictured guy isn’t Penis Man. He was just expressing his support for what Penis Man represents: standing firm and proud in the face of insurmountable odds, juggling all the balls that life throws at you, and giving full-throated support to those around you.

It’s a fake novelty check. Someone else probably just drew a fake Trump “signature” when it was made.

That makes it even worse, because the S is intended to be shared, but not the Y. Just all around bad design.

…and Perplexity’s scraping is unnecessarily traffic intensive since they don’t cache the scraped data.
That seems almost maliciously stupid. We need to train a new model. Hey, where’d the data go? Oh well, let’s just go scrape it all again. Wait, did we already scrape this site? No idea, let’s scrape it again just to be sure.

That jumped out at me too. Giving the benefit of the doubt, it could be that this “snapshot” includes a very large amount of data that could be problematic if stored locally for longer. In reality, they probably do it this way for exactly this type of situation, so they can retain full control of the potentially-damning data.

Plot twist: their position on hate speech is in favour, and her role will be to develop ways to encourage it.

“Hey Sackeshi, didn’t I hear that you were working over at ABC Corp last year? I’m curious why you chose to leave that off of your resume?”
- Comment on Bring them back!!! 2 months ago:
That’s actually a persistent myth. I’ve heard it myself as a wearer of an iron ring, but it isn’t true. The myth was that the first iron rings were made from the remains of the first Quebec Bridge, but they weren’t, let alone any over the century since. The bridge collapse did inspire the creation of the iron rings, though.

I mean, when you addressed what is frankly a minor, tangential part of the OP with an essay, it does come across as heavy-handed, even if that isn’t what you meant by it
- Comment on If no government shall bare arms against its own citizens. Then what is happening in LA? 3 months ago:
You may be misremembering the 2nd amendment:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
It doesn’t say anything about the government being prohibited from using force against citizens. It’s about citizens being able to have firearms (arguably, with the caveat that they’re part of a militia, but that’s a whole other discussion).
