They did a previous study on what 65,000 satellites would look like and that was pretty bleak. Also this bit:
Latitudes near 50° Will Experience the Worst Light Pollution.
Thats a large chunk of Europe.
- Comment on US state laws push age checks into the operating system 3 weeks ago:
Ultimately, the end game will be certain websites (like your Bank) won’t trust your identity because your using some FOSS verification service and as “they take security seriously” will require you to use MS or Google.
You can see parts of this already. When I’m browsing the web in Linux I get hot with way more captcha checks when accessing websites than when using Windows.
- Comment on Forced age verification is comming sooner than we thought. 3 weeks ago:
I feel like there is a line coming with hardware and software and that will be the last of it’s type as the move towards subscription based services is forced onto everyone. Its a shame people won’t vote with their wallets. It just means I’ll have my basement crammed with old tech and I’ll go full old man mode and stop keeping up with technological progress.

That’s a crazy story. Glad you didn’t get caught up in their incompetence. Do you still do business with them?

Because having one thing is never good. IA goes down then what? Also archive.today captures websites differently which can work in a pinch when IA fails to archive a site.

Steal copyrighted content so you can sell a product that stomps all over people’s personal creativity (fan fiction).

I can see that. I probably only enjoyed it because I hunted down the story in the other sources provided. I also enjoyed the fishing.

final fantasy 15 sucked so much
Why you gotta diss my boys like that?

This looks way better. The other game doesn’t look like a Castlevania game. COuld just be the art direction isn’t for me but I prefer the HD-pixel art and detailed backgrounds here.
- Comment on 1 month ago:
This looks great. Kind of how is think a modern Castlevania game would look. Definitely didn’t think GoW would be the ones to do it.

I heard the sequel isn’t as good as the first? I pretty much forgot this game existed though. I’ll grab the directors cut on sale.

Honestly someone should spin up a small web index. You can isolate yourself to a nice corner of the Internet and ignore the rest of the toxic mess.

Still on a 1080p plasma tv. Those old charts showing if you can tell the difference in quality shows at my distance I’d be fine with 720p. Do people sit inches from their 80 inch TV?

You can mod it with an sd card to avoid any parts failures.

Man I’m really dreading buying a new TV. Been going strong with my plasma for years. I don’t need any “smart” features in a tv. From what I understand you either get a good TV or a “dumb” TV, pick one.

So annoying this is hardware tied to the monitors. This is the new gsync premium tax. The vast number of features monitors can have these days make it a proposition of Goldilocks proportions.
