So assuming you are traveling, what do you bring with you if it isn’t a mobile streaming device, a laptop, or a mobile device that you are going to stream to?

You saying you wouldn’t have those things away from home? Or a firestick.

Yes, but that person has to create an account. Everyone has to create an account. With Plex. Some people I know immediately say no, others are annoyed that plex would try and shake them down for money.

If you configure Jellyfin, all that goes away. THEN they can simply download the app and login.

I got concerned when people started buying Plex hats. And being excited about that purchase.

I noticed that Logo on Hats people are willing to pay for is often a bit concerning.

Not anymore. They changed the prices and discounts by quite a bit.

I run them side by side too. I also have plexpass from ahes ago.

But I actually like the jellyfin ui better. It’s simple, to the point and most importantly fast. Sit. Down click jellyfin click show, go.

Plex just feels laggy and sloppy in comparison.

Gotta take a stand. There have been a few things where I gotta tell friends that I can’t do this. If they won’t change… Meh. Gotta have principles.

Uh… You stand up to corpos. Just leave. Nobody is forcing you to use it.

I never got the appeal of discord, but that’s fine.

The use of it as a support for a project? So bad.

Hopefully it will collapse and go away.
