Yes, we use it and are happy with the service. Not so much because of its security / encryption features, but because it’s a Belgian based, independent email provider and I applaud that. I just moved my family there from Gandi after they screwed their users with price hikes and false promises. For context, I am Belgian and have met the founder. They have a nice mission. I still self host my own email on my own mail server for 20+ years. But if I weren’t, I would probably use Mailfence.

Exactly what kind of pigeons are we talking about here? Or would you recommend switching to an avian variant of the migratory type?

I digg that comment!
- Comment on What host names do you use? 4 weeks ago:
Fictional planet names (mostly early Star Wars because I’m old): Dantooine, Naboo, Tatooine, Jabba (not a planet, but server for “data storage” hence smuggler reference), Bespin and odd one out Arrakis (laptop).
- Comment on Least terrible domain registrars 5 weeks ago:
I’ve been a happy customer of Metategistrar for over a decade. No complaints, fair prices. Just moved a .be from Gandi there because they wanted to charge me €30 excl. VAT for 1 year. Retail price of .be by DNS.be is about €5 and Metaregistrar only charges me €7,5 excl. VAT for a .be for a year. Was at Gandi with that domain because they used to offer free mailboxes with domain name registrations but have since stopped that. Shop around people!
