You’re wrong, an asshole and literally in the camp with the creationists and accusing them of being the creationist. Get real, stop embarrassing yourself.

Yeah the conservative community is a trainwreck. Thats every conservative community though not just the one on hc. I blocked it when they first announced it lmao because I knew exactly what it would turn into. Probably why I haven’t seen any of the right wing extremism stuff people keep talking about lol
- Comment on United Leftists of Hilarious Chaos 4 days ago:
Thanks I did just that and was able to see it :)

I mean that entire thread is a dumpster fire but I see what you mean
- Comment on United Leftists of Hilarious Chaos 4 days ago:
Yeah trolling is a whatever issue for me, I’m not bothered by it. I haven’t seen any right wing extremism stuff. I am blatantly leftist and haven’t been kicked out of hc. I think tolerance of leftism sorta disqualifies it from being extremist lmao. I didn’t realise so many instances de-federated from hc. When I had my account deleted from lemm.ee with no warning for expressing my disapproval of moderators I joined hc. I’d had fun interactions with Alice before and the instance description stated they had a free speech policy (paraphrasing) so I joined up. There’s a few things I dislike such as downvotes not being visible but when I brought that up the whole community actually had a discussion about it which I’d never experienced before and made me feel like I was actually part of a community. I’ll think about trying out another instance to see if being de-federated from really bothers me. Ideally I want to be able to talk with as many people as possible.

I’ve realised that while my parents complained about how bad candy is and how much better it used to be, I’ll be complaining about how bad technology is and how much better it used to be :(
- Comment on Jack Dorsey would like to ‘delete all IP law’. 1 week ago:
No IP laws encourage people to keep new inventions/technologies/creative works secret so that they can solely profit off of it. By ensuring a period where people are guaranteed the benefits of their creations society can coerce them into contributing to the collective knowledge base.
I think 5yrs is a suitable timeframe for copyright. Incentives sharing while also ensuring ideas can be promptly built off of and discorouging companies to hoard intellectual property for as long as possible while they drain every last dollar out.

You can postal vote in America. It was one of the most talked about parts of the 2020 American presidential election
- Comment on Record enrolment [98.2%] ahead of 2025 federal election | AEC 1 week ago:
The reality is there are more lazy people than mislead people. Getting rid of compulsory voting increases the fraction of mislead people voting. See American voter turnouts for reference.

Don’t vote 1 for the major parties guys. Minor parties and independents don’t need a majority they just need to prevent either of the big ones from getting one and they’ll be forced to negotiate.

I believe this quote comes from the British describing what they think the US might do. As far as I am aware from reading the article nobody in the US administration has said this. Though, there may be some concerns in the US over the price they have sold weapons for.

This is earth because we call it earth. It being or not being a torture chamber in hell is entirely irrelevant to the naming convention of this planet.
