- Comment on There isn't an easy exploit for this PHP vulnerability 10 hours ago:
The bug is real, its exploitable but only if the server also has a very specific vulnerability in order for php to be exploited. Which kind of makes it a non exploit. And the author is backing that up by point out the php runs about 70% of the web and the exploit has been out for over 10 hours (when this was written), if this was a real “we are very fucked” bug, we would be hearing about all the fall out from this already and we have heard nothing.
The (quite funny actually) take away here is that the “smoking gun” demos that prove this exploit show that the server vulnerability was specifically mimicked before the exploit test was run.

IDK if you were an old reddit user, but I can’t recommend old.lemmy.world skin enough. Really helped me break the reddit habit. Because lets be honestly, it was just a habit and muscle memory taking me back there.
I deleted all my comments but kept my account just in case they try to recover them so I can delete them again, then I logged out and haven’t looked back.
I’ll give the same advice I give in all the reddit migration threads, try changing your default sort to “Active” or “New Comments” and that is where all the conversations are happening.
- Comment on Paradox Interactive to publish survival-crafting creature collector adventure 'Guardians of the Wild Sky' 1 month ago:
I like Paradox Interactive and how they work with fans and mod content. They are saying early access isn’t happening until next year. So it probably not going to be v 1.0 until 2027 at least. This could have a lot of potential, but its going to take a while.

I want to get back in to Palworld, the update looks so good. But, they will probably be on update 2.0 before I get to the 1.0 release.
