I mean that’s an entirely different discussion. I completely agree that advertising is bad for society. But to act like perfume commercial commercials are rote and frivolous, besides the objective itself of course, is just untrue

To treat Mick Gordon after everything he did for them like that… It’s really unconscionable

For real. And I definitely think it’s reasonable to assume mick’s story is the more accurate one. He went out on a serious limb writing this and clearly worked tirelessly to make sure his case was airtight
- Comment on I am convinced the makers of those ads are on something strong and very illegal 1 day ago:
completely disagree with this. From a visual standpoint, I actually find perfume commercials really interesting to study for my own work (camera/editing). They do some really wild shit because they are basically no rules and being artsy/weird is part of the visual culture of perfumes now

That’s fair. I was being tongue and cheek but looking back at it is coming off as a little overly critical of them

2016 >>>> Eternal for me
- Comment on Doom the dark ages... 1 day ago:
It’s tempting but man… Being a composer is difficult, doubly so if you’re in video games. Doom is an unbelievable opportunity and if I remember correctly ai think Mick even said he has no ill will towards who would inevitably take the reins after him. He has a very specific beef with a very specific group of people, in particular one person (Statton).

I remember physically pumping my fist in the air when the first exposition dump happens in doom 2016 and he just punches the screen and move moves on. That’s all the narrative/storytelling I need or want out of doom.

Oh I fundamentally misunderstood the term I guess lol I was reading it as being able to make playlists (like broadly? If that makes sense) as some sort of key feature.
- Comment on Spotify caught hosting hundreds of fake podcasts that advertise selling drugs 2 days ago:
Playlists? The reason people use Spotify is you can play the individual song or album that you want and you can’t with Pandora. That’s the key difference. Not playlists lol

I can’t support the studio after what they did to Mick Gordon

It’s not the artist exploitation or they’re generally predatory practices, no, it’s the lossless audio that really got your attention lmfao

Idk where you’ve been lately but Apple has gone way budget friendlier with Mac mini’s. You can get a serious machine for $1200

The last two didn’t bomb. Oxenfree 2 is estimated to have made a modest profit despite being available for “free” on Netflix and it was critically well received.

I edit over and then delete all my comments every few days. I’ve never encountered a site that truly purges your account so as annoying it is it just feels necessary at this point

Yeah I think it’s obvious they want some brand awareness out of this, but the projects they are funding, like ladybird, really are pretty great
- Comment on Wuhan lab samples hold no close relatives to virus behind COVID 5 months ago:
No most Republicans know that it’s a real virus but what they generally believe is it is/was not as bad as we think it is/was and it was blown out of proportion. The Wuhan lab leak conspiracy theory is Main Street for Republicans. You can hear pundits reference it all the time

If he’s caught he should be tried fairly by a jury if he peers and justice carried out.
