Solid works, a premium software package, has a cheap license for vets. Its the same as a student license.
Only drawback is the files will contaminate a professional love cense database. The meta data will copy the student license onto any assembly made with the student part even if the full professional license has been paid.
Not something in have to worry about

I’ve been out for 25 years I’ll still be the first to finish a meal even if I sit down last and they give me a kids fork.

I don’t known why people are down voting you. You do you. If you want to shoot a gun, go bet one and blast away. If you want to blow shit up, umm I can’t help you.

- Comment on Self Supporting Antenna Tower Maintenance 5 weeks ago:
The other post suggesting a general handyman is probably where I’d start too. But I’d also dive into the rabbit hole. Old TV setups had an optional motor for moving the antenna. Saves a lot of aggravation later.
Check for lighting strike dangers
- Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 1 month ago:
Most wood splinters do move slow but that one (Large valve and accumulator) would make it faster.
- Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 1 month ago:
“Last longer” was referring to the machine life not the execution. The accumulator is there to make it painless.
- Comment on Why do we still joke about setting up old wooden guillotines? 1 month ago:
Use a log splitter with a different blade, higher capacity valance and an accumulator for faster action. Strengthen the frame and maybe add a dampener for the end of stroke so things last longer. Reloading ca be controlled by smaller hoses.

- Comment on Remember to dry your filament kids 2 months ago:
Yes. Stringy. Some filament types such as TPU are more sensitive to moisture. Dryers take around 7 hours to dry a role. If you had a way to know the moisture content I assume you could shorten that time. Again different filament types dry at different rates.

There definitely is an advantage to different media types. Each technology has their own limitations. Tape back up, SSD, USB drive, DVD and HD with spinning platers

The EU pushed for Microsoft to lock the account because they were dealing with Russian oil. It was a Ukrain war sanction
Or at least that’s what the article said.

How do you know. Did you read the statement and it sounded coherent and logical or was it all over white place WITH CAPITALS emphasizing pointless points.

So what. It was written by a conflicted felon who was never sentenced for his crimes, by a man accused of multiple sexual assaults and by a man who ignores court orders without consequences.

Thanks for the answers (and time). It’s cool to learn these things.
I could ask another 100 questions and still not understand half of it.
- Comment on This Earth-sized Exoplanet is On a Death Spiral 3 months ago:
So you’re saying as our own system ages the planets will get pulled in and eaten up.
Would Jupiter being a gas giant get slowed down equally to the outer planets or would it eat some planets on its own.
Maybe eat is too much imagery. Would it accelerate those planets decline.
- Comment on This Earth-sized Exoplanet is On a Death Spiral 3 months ago:
The article mentions the star being a dwarf. Are dwarf stars older and in a degrading state. Would the star have had less gravitational force when younger.
How would a plant form that close if the gravitational pull from the star was this strong.

I think it was meant as a security feature in case someone picked up your unlocked phone. It perhaps someone cracked your front screen passcode. I know if you forget your password and have to reset it you lose all previous conversations. It’s very secure this way. Bit of a pain… but secure.
