- Comment on Waymo Forced to Halt Overnight Operations As Punishment for Causing Nonstop Ruckus 1 week ago:
Waymo has proven to be far safer than human driven cars though. Sure, hold them accountable if they’re really negligent, but some accidents are inevitable, but at a much lower rate than what human drivers cause.

I’ll respond the same way he would have.
- Comment on Spain public broadcaster calls for 'debate' over Israel's Eurovision participation 7 months ago:
You can’t vote against someone in Eurovision. They actually end up dominating the televote because those sympathetic to Israel make a point to vote for them even if they don’t care about Eurovision.

Australia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia. Morocco has also participated once, and Lebanon was set to compete at one point, but withdrew because they couldn’t broadcast the Israeli performance.
- Comment on You can add self-driving to non-Teslas via comma.ai's "openpilot": an open-source, LiDAR-based dashcam module 8 months ago:
It’s actually just camera based. There is no LiDAR.
I actually have one and I like it pretty well. They’re a bit more honest than Tesla about its capabilities and don’t actually call it self-driving. They’re very clear that it’s adaptive cruise control + lane keeping that is better than most stock systems. You should be aware though that it’s not really suitable for average users who expect a plug and play experience. Comma doesn’t offer any software support at all, and there have been a lot of recent complaints about them not being very responsive to hardware warranty issues.

Tonya Harding (background) was involved in a plot to assault rival figure skater Nancy Kerrigan (foreground). The Movie “I, Tonya” covers the case and is actually pretty good.
