- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 3 weeks ago:
Some of the boss fights felt amazing once you start learning their attack patterns, but then others were just… lacking. The savage fly one comes to mind. It wasn’t particularly a difficult boss itself. But when it summoned ads, it became a fight around rng. It wasn’t a fun fight at all. Felt like the devs realised it was too easy and chucked in ads then left it there.
Separately, why on earth the boss doesn’t receive damage for slamming down on the spiky enemy when its spikes are deployed… Missed opportunity!
- Comment on What game sequel ruined a beloved franchise or character for you? 1 month ago:
Was the same for me too. I remember getting DoW2 and being so disappointed. Then 3 came along… I’ve given up them making a decent game again.
Even that DoW remaster isn’t looking good. I’m holding out until I see the reviews but if they’re only going with AI upscaled textures for £30 then no thanks.

Same. I don’t even recall setting it up until I stumbled on it one day and could track my wife. I pulled a few pranks until I revealed my hand but we’ve never turned it off. There’s nothing malicious about it and we’re both happy to keep it on.

I came back to this game after putting it down for over a month and my surprise when it said there was an update available right as I did. Sadly I still need to get to what, chapter 9, for the dlc to begin? But there’s some additional quality of life improvements that are welcome to see.
- Comment on Were Sony and Microsoft Truly Worried About The Google Stadia? 8 months ago:
People wouldn’t give stadia a chance since they knew of Google’s reputation to kill services. Google, of course, proved them right.
It was a shame really. I liked Stadia and ran a game tracking site for it. But I won’t trust another Google product again.

200 hours in for me and I just learned you can put gates over train tracks. 🤯 Found out by reading the in game manual that I was too proud to read beforehand. So uhm… read the manual.
- Comment on Is a Quest 3 really worth it? 10 months ago:
I went through similar thoughts on whether or not to pick up a Quest 3 and after having one for 8 months I’ve not regretted it. The Quest 3 is a great all-rounder if you’re looking for something accessible but also capable of PCVR.
The one thing I will say is accessories are often overlooked. You’ll want to replace the headstrap with a better one. A battery pack if you want longer sessions. Wear glasses? Prescription lenses. A Wi-Fi 6/e router or better if you want to wirelessly tether to a PC for PCVR (plus the costs that come with a gaming computer).
While accessories may appear optional. If you’re spending a load of cash on the headset, then sticking with a subpar experience seems silly. So research what you intend to use it for ahead of time and budget for what you feel is necessary.
