Unbelievable! A fascist that was in a lunch with a friendly journalist while his region was being flooded (with a result of oaer 200 deaths) instead of addressing the crisis, refuses to take responsibility!
Completely unexpected!

I’m sorry to tell you that you’re not even the first one thinking of this. I’ll have to look for the source but a company was trying to do this on phones. Basically they’d track your eyes with the phone camera to stop the ad when you’re not looking at your screen.

Fucking hell, I had to check several times that I wasn’t reading an onion-y article.
I barely use YouTube and when I do, I use tubular or freetube apps, but I think I’m going to use it even less from now on.

- Comment on The $700 PS5 Pro doesn’t come with a disc drive 2 months ago:
799€ here, 920€ with a disc drive. That is stupidly insane for a console. We’re almost breaking the 1000€ barrier for an “upgrade”, not even the new generation.
I’d bet my money Sony is just testing the grounds to see if they can set PS6 price in a few years over the 1k barrier.

- Comment on Despite tech-savvy reputation, Gen Z falls behind in keyboard typing skills 2 months ago:
Because they didn’t need training. Or that’s what we all thought. They were born with an internet that was basically Google. We needed to learn command line, they needed to learn how to press one button.
And it really is that way… Until they need to do something more complex and realize they can’t.
- Comment on Despite tech-savvy reputation, Gen Z falls behind in keyboard typing skills 2 months ago:
They are not tech-savvy, we had to dumb down technology so boomers and gen Z’ers could use it.

- Comment on Pirate Streaming Giants Fboxz, AniWave, Zoroxtv & Others Dead in Major Collapse 2 months ago:
I would use legal alternatives… Had they the content I want…
Right now, if I want to follow an anime in Europe? Maybe first season is in netflix, but second could be in crunchyroll (maybe), then half of the third is in an obscure and unknown service… And the other half is in Amazon prime.
I want to pay the legal alternative, what I won’t do is subscribe to 6 different streaming services a month, that won’t guarantee the availability of a show even after the first month and watching ads forcedly.
Piracy is a service problem. And with streaming, we have a huge service problem.
- Comment on Microsoft will try the data-scraping Windows Recall feature again in October | Initial Recall preview was lambasted for obvious privacy and security failures 2 months ago:
Guys guys, I think you’re exaggerating a bit with this feature.
I mean, what’s so bad in it to be hated like this?
Whatever so wrong in giving a company known for their awful privacy respect and incredibly high data collection they do on the computes a history of literally everything you do on your pc, key presses included?
It’s encrypted! They surely won’t be able to do anything with it, right?
…
Right???

I am like you. The way I listen to music is not the conventional way in which someone has a playlist and goes with it for a while, then add new music, etc… I am autistic too, and my music routine generally implies having a song or two on repeat for the day because they are a form of stimming for me. So I don’t use streaming services if not for trying new music before seeing if I want that song.
My rule is that if I find a song I can be comfortable with to listen to it for a while hour on repeat and I still like it, I’ll buy it. If that happens, that song is probably going to be my next stimming song for days or even weeks, meaning I’ll listen to it hundreds or thousands of times. If that’s the case, I’ll buy it.
On some rare instances, I find an artist that I really like because they have more than one song that helps me and then I’ll buy their album just to show support to what they are doing.
I also can’t go to shows because they are a nightmare to my brain and its lack of sensory overload control.
- Comment on AltStore PAL drops its annual subscription thanks to a grant from Epic 2 months ago:
It’s actually pretty simple: they have created the perfect conditions.
First, theirs is not a customer but a fanbase. People want to be part of the apple universe because they are fans of it.
Second, they have made it extremely difficult to get out once you enter their ecosystem.
So basically you have a good bunch of people who are fans of their products (so not buying because of functionality but because of fidelity), and another good bunch that are captives of a previous decision and can’t get out easily.
There are other minor groups in their customer base, but they aren’t that relevant to make a dent in their sales if Apple loses them.

Personal experience. Every time I see an extremely stupid tweet, it comes from a blue check.
- Comment on Reddit CEO teases AI search features and paid subreddits 2 months ago:
Twitter made a great job with the paid blue check. It’s so much easier now to detect an idiot just by looking if they have a paid blue check. In Reddit it will be the same. If someone joins a paid sub, you can already say they are an idiot.

This sounds so much like Spanish potato omelette. There’s the civilised side and the side that add onions to the omelette. And you don’t want to bring the topic to any peaceful conversation.
- Comment on Casual reminder 4 months ago:
The problem with the left everywhere is they don’t have the balls to actually take action. They all talk about tolerance and how dialogue should make people change and be the politicians language. No. Certain things shouldn’t be tolerated. Fascism and nazism are two of those. Democracy is above anything else. If a subject is trying to undermine democracy or the institutions protecting it, they should be considered a national threat and dealt with accordingly. The problem is that the left is afraid of being seen as “authoritarian” so when a fascist comes and openly says they want to fuck democracy until it becomes a dictatorship, leftists just say “hey now, let’s sit down and talk”. No, my dude, we don’t “sit down and talk” with a fascist. We punch them in the face and tell them “fuck you, if you want to be a dictator, you’re a threat for our country and will be dealt with as a terrorist”. 80 years ago, we argued with Nazis by shooting them. We forgot and now we’re having them in our governments again.
