You mean to tell me the guy who's only rich because daddy ran a emerald slave mine in apartheid South Africa isn't a good person? Never.
- Comment on How exactly does one eat 1500 calories a day? 3 months ago:
Of course, which is why I said within reason. As long as you're making an effort to make your diet varied, I find trying to religiously track macros tends to be fairly counter productive to counterproductive, as it makes the whole process far more of a pain in the ass.

shrimp and tilapia are fairly cheap
This varies hugely based on location, primarily distance from the ocean. Pound for pound, beef and pork are far cheaper than basically any seafood in my region.

As long as calories in < calories out, the source of those calories matter much less (within reason).

It somehow clips with a texture under the floors that nobody knows why it's there, all they know is the game doesn't work if they remove the texture. Something like that, probably.
- Comment on CrowdStrike’s faulty update crashed 8.5 million Windows devices, says Microsoft 3 months ago:
I'm well aware that it's not a complicated fix, I'm more than capable of doing it. Being a guy on an understaffed IT team in an office of hundreds right now sounds fucking miserable.
- Comment on To what extent, if at all, would have CrowdStrike's faulty update have been made easier to deal with with an immutable distro? 3 months ago:
This relies on the assumption that everyone else, or at least a significant portion, in the office managed to do it.
I'm not talking about whether or not they're actually physically capable of it, of course they are. Im talking about how people immediately shut down and pretend they can't follow simple directions the second something relates to a compute.

You wildly overestimate the average person's willingness to do that.

Yknow I almost majored in IT/anything in that realm. Real glad I didn't right now. And most other times, but especially right now.
- Comment on Are cars with AWD worth it compared to FWD. 4 months ago:
I'd also like to make a point that it seems a lot of people with AWD in my area miss.
If the road is solid ice, not snow, AWD isn't going to help you much at all.

Considering the mining industries for many of the rare earth metals needed? Yeah he does.
Plus there's the whole apartheid emerald slave mine thing, which is how daddy made the money he got to play with.

Oh trust me, if It was drivable, I would've kept it.
Unfortunately a younger, much more sleep deprived me flipped it one morning.
Loved that damn car
- Comment on Is 0.3 quarts extra too mich oil in a car? 4 months ago:
We did routine oil changes between 5-6k miles until it started burning oil. I assure you, that was not the issue. We spent a while trying to figure it out before saying fuck it because it never gave us issues.
- Comment on Is 0.3 quarts extra too mich oil in a car? 4 months ago:
Had an old accord that started burning oil at about 100k miles. Lasted another 100k with only a handful of oil changes (I think none in it's last 50k, just topping it off as needed). Still worked perfectly fine besides very slowly burning oil when I totaled it at 200k miles.
I miss that car. I'm convinced I could've gotten at least 300k miles out of it.
