There are and I used to use them but they aren’t error-free either or following the style guides I need to adhere to so it’s essentially the same outcome.

I often use it in programming to either layout the unit testsor do something that’s repetitive like create entities or DTOs from schemas. These tasks I can do myself easily but they’re boring and I will also make mistakes. I always have to check every single line and need to correct things, plus have to write one or two detailed prompts to make sure that the correct pattern and style is followed. It saves me a lot of time, but always tries to do more than it should: if it writes tests it will try and run them, and then try and fix them, and then try to change my code which is annoying and I always cancel all of that.
I find AI art and creative writing boring and I only really see these things as a tool to support being more efficient where applicable, and you also have to know what you’re doing, just like using any other tool.

I agree with you but the peeling process is significantly more annoying which gives them equal stature to me.

- Comment on Still getting dunked on in Dota 2? Don't worry, even Gabe Newell gets called a noob once a week, apparently 3 months ago:
Used to play DOTA like crazy as a kid when it was a custom game on Warcraft 3. When DOTA2 came out as a stand alone I was hyped to relive the experience but I couldn’t really remeber how to play well. First game in I got all-caps screamed at: people wishing my mother never gave birth to me and telling me I should kill myself. I decided that my DOTA experience was best kept as a fond memory.

Yeah whatever brings positive nostalgia to people will be looked at fondly. I remember early internet fads and viral websites in a positive light that are just as dumb and transient as whatever viral content is being pushed out today. People view things in a different light and some kids in 15 years time will get nostalgic about Skibidi Toilet and talk about how “Dance Hype Craze” fell off after video 983.
- Comment on Why do news articles and such call the governments of countries/groups of countries after the capital? 9 months ago:
South Africa has three capitals but they have different roles: Pretoria is the executive/administrative capital, and this branch of the government is run by the head of state. The other roles are the legislative (Cape Town) and judicial (Bloemfontein) capitals. I would assume depending on which branch of the government is delivering news they would use the appropriate capital, but it’s most likely to be Pretoria.
Feel free to correct me I am not an expert or South African.

Briefly joined Discuit during the Reddit API ruckus but I was already on Lemmy so I never stuck with it. It’s been open sourced and the people seemed mostly pleasant so it seemed like it was on a reasonable path towards creating a good space.

Nah no problem with it being about Vegan nuggets or anything, but that faux surprise/O-face trend was pretty played out although it did birth good memes.

Ah IDK not actually angry that was hyperbole. It’s just the silly expressions they’re pulling.
- Comment on braaiinnss 10 months ago:
Top tier use of that meme. That original photo of those two guys pointing at the vegan nuggets or whatever it was makes me irrationally angry: sometimes I look at it just to wind myself up.

IDK why people say they have better privacy: They just settled a lawsuit over evesdroping using Siri. I think they probably have less interest than Google in selling data for advertising, mostly likely using it internally for their ecosystem so they probably come across more privacy focused but I assume they snoop just as much as any other big tech company.
