This person was just expressing their surprise. Why are you so pissy lmao

By who? I thought this was broadly known?
- Comment on Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | The ten stages of genocide 5 months ago:
My disdain for the United States is not a secret nor is it an ulterior motive. It’s just the logical extension of all the atrocities that have been and continue to be committed by the US as a colonizing force and as a world superpower.
This isn’t ancient history, Israelis have been enacting and vocalizing a plan to colonize Palestine since the middle of the last century. The idea of Zionism was around before then, but that’s when it took place. There are still people alive who survived the Nakba. The colonialism is the situation right now.
- Comment on Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | The ten stages of genocide 5 months ago:
It’s not the same, because Israel are systematic colonizers. IDF acts on behalf of Israel. Sure, not all Israelis have the same political opinions, but ultimately they are living in a country that is committed to genocide of Palestinians. Lots of countries hate the United States for extremely valid reasons and I do have sympathy and ultimately agree with their hatred of Americans, even though I am one.
- Comment on Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | The ten stages of genocide 5 months ago:
Where is the “then you should get no sympathy at all”?
- Comment on Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | The ten stages of genocide 5 months ago:
It makes sense to support the Arabs who got displaced …if you’re a member of one of those groups
If you’re a Palestinian
if you’re a member of one of those groups and can’t sympathize with the other (eg … IDF)
If you’re a Palestinian who can’t sympathize with the IDF
…then you should get no sympathy at all.
If you’re a Palestinian who can’t sympathize with the IDF, then you should get no sympathy at all .
So, again, you’re saying you have no sympathy for Palestinians who dislike the IDF, who have been continuously murdering them and stealing their land?
- Comment on Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | The ten stages of genocide 5 months ago:
So you’re saying you have no sympathy for Palestinians who dislike the IDF, who have been continuously murdering them and stealing their land? That is what you’re saying right?

🔥🔥 YES
- Comment on Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | The ten stages of genocide 5 months ago:
Hm, I wonder why Palestinians wanted the settler-colonial state of Israel to not exist. Hm. Could it be that the state of Israel has been systematically invading and stealing Palestinian land? And that they’ve been quite vocal about their goals to do so?
Would you also denounce Native Americans for wanting the United States to not exist anymore? Were they wrong for their violent retaliations in the 1800s? After years of genocide, lies, and enslavement?

The tease of getting a well-lit nude in the middle of the workday? 🧑🏻🍳🤌🏻💋
- Comment on iPhone owners say the latest iOS update is resurfacing deleted nudes 5 months ago:
Ah okay. I didn’t interpret this as only nudes being undeleted, so I was reading your comment in that light. Understandable.
- Comment on iPhone owners say the latest iOS update is resurfacing deleted nudes 5 months ago:
You’ve never been in a long distance relationship? And as I said, some people need to take nudes for medical reasons. It’s not a hypothetical situation, I know multiple people who have done this.
It’s fine that you have your own personal philosophy for taking nudes, but your post is coming off as judgemental of those who do.
- Comment on iPhone owners say the latest iOS update is resurfacing deleted nudes 5 months ago:
“I don’t understand why people have sex and then complain when they can’t get an abortion because of Roe v Wade being appealed.”
This is what you sound like. Blame the system, not the individual for having a better sex life than you.
- Comment on iPhone owners say the latest iOS update is resurfacing deleted nudes 5 months ago:
It’s scandalous regardless. The nudes just highlight the danger of this.
- Comment on iPhone owners say the latest iOS update is resurfacing deleted nudes 5 months ago:
There are tons of reasons to take nude photos… you often have to send in nude photos for the beginning stages of surgery consultations.
And sexting is fun.
This comment comes across insanely judgemental of the individual, when the issue is that Apple deleting data and thus violating privacy.
- Comment on I this a firm and polite way to tell an opinionated coworker to stop pushing his agenda I don't care about? 6 months ago:
Your ideas are overly aggressive, even just leaving. Just change the topic or say “I’d rather not discuss this at work.”
- Comment on How Airbnb accidentally screwed the US housing market and made $100 billion 6 months ago:
Uber was originally marketed as ride-sharing, too. Just an app to find people going the same way. Of course, I’m fairly sure that their current iterations was the plan all along as anyone with enough business sense to start those companies must have predicted that there would be people who take on Uber/AirBnB as a primary source of income. But sharing your hours or planning a shared trip is much more palatable than “Landlords but Worse”.

- Comment on As someone who is aging. Late thirties. How can I keep my finger on the pulse of current trends, particularly in music? 6 months ago:
Honestly just keeping up with whatever social media is popular with young people is the best way to stay in touch with new music and pop culture.
- Comment on As someone who is aging. Late thirties. How can I keep my finger on the pulse of current trends, particularly in music? 6 months ago:
Nah, tired advice. I was literally in a remote island for most of a year, and missed out on Harambe and clowns and whatever else happened that year. But if you have a real interest in pop culture you stay in tune. Most older people don’t stay on top of it because they don’t care to, which is fine it’s not for everyone.
- Comment on Does it seem odd to track my lifespan? 6 months ago:
It is essentially the same thing, but that is the cultural box that we’ve created where it’s normal to keep track of your lifespan. A Death Note style reminder is has not been deemed socially acceptable.
- Comment on Does it seem odd to track my lifespan? 6 months ago:
It’s objectively weird in the sense that most people don’t do that.
- Comment on I used an original iPod in 2024, and it was pretty fun 6 months ago:
Yeah, there’s an interest in Y2K era tech amongst some gen-Z people. I think it’s cool, idk why you’re hating.
- Comment on AI Computing on Pace to Consume More Energy Than India, Arm Says 6 months ago:
Sounds useful, but not at all worth the amount of energy being used to produce AI. You could just use that energy to feed/house people who could do the labor of denoising.

Just set up an app blocker on your phone. There are some that are pretty intense, they work great.

- Comment on How come liberals dont hate conservatives the way conservatives hate liberals 6 months ago:
there are definitely cringey liberal boomer memes, they’re all on Facebook.
So you feel alone because you want to make cringey boomer memes and send threatening emails to Churches? I’m confused.
There are militant left movements, but there are just fewer people who align themselves with those movements because Communism and Socialism were basically illegal to talk about for decades, and the conservative fascism is basically just our mainstream government ideology (D or R).
- Comment on Rubén Baler, neuroscientist: ‘We are guinea pigs. Our attention has become a profitable commodity’ 6 months ago:
idk I use my phone to play chess, wingspan, Root, all kinds of games. And on Instagram I usually just see pictures about my friends lives, news, local events. The most well informed people I know are all active on social media. If all your kids are doing is playing console video games, they’ll be disconnected. The most cutting edge news is on social media, and has been for years now. My phone is just a more comfortable way to do things. I could play chess and read the news on my laptop, but I don’t want to.
This just reads like moral panic over tech you don’t like … you know, people used to fear-monger about books being too addictive and bad for you.
- Comment on Pokémon Go players are altering public map data to catch rare Pokémon 6 months ago:
It’s a game where you walk around and catch pokemon… why where there suddenly cease to be demand for that the premise is great. Not my thing but I get why people are into it.
- Comment on AI Computing on Pace to Consume More Energy Than India, Arm Says 6 months ago:
I can’t think of a single thing AI does that is worth the amount of energy consumption.
