Well for one, I immediately deleted my comment because I think I misread the post title, so didn’t want to accuse OP. How can everyone see it still to vote and reply?
Two: it’s talking about the trolley problem and letting one die. Seems transphobic to let the girl die because she revealed she had a dick (if that is indeed the reason). That implication is kind of there. At the same time it could simply be that both would be great options, which I think is what OP intended and is why I deleted my comment.
Three: it’s a shitpost and it probably doesn’t need such analysis.

It’s a meme about science.

What a terrible headline. It’s an interesting article, but I’m surprised i clicked on it to be honest, with what little information is conveyed in the headline and summary.
- Comment on UK petition of "Require videogame publishers to keep games they have sold in a working state" just got thrown back to the Government 5 weeks ago:
It’s true it does cost to keep things running. But like you say there are ways around this to push server costs onto players, or simply allow offline play with online features disabled.
I think if there were legislation in place then design decisions would adapt. If it were costly to just shut a game down abruptly, there would be player hosted options in place from the start and ideally less spurious “always online” requirements woven into the fabric of every game.

Depressant or stimulant (except that one stimulant)

It’s surprising to me that the FFXVI voice acting would be his recognisable role. Ralph Ineson is a national treasure.

They’re pushing the limits of this simulation to see how much bullshit we can tolerate. Turns out it’s a LOT.

As most of the other comments point out, pocket TV did exist and you have exposed yourself as:
- Younger than the smartphone
- Never watched a 90’s movie with a security guard in it
- Comment on New York appeals court overturns Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction from landmark #MeToo trial 2 months ago:
They overturned the ruling because they allowed other victims to talk about other previous crimes he committed in front of a jury? How are they going to find a jury now that doesn’t have prior knowledge of his many many crimes?
- Comment on Steam will stop issuing refunds if you play two hours of a game before launch day 2 months ago:
Aha the “Unlock Game Early Edition” trend, which is awful in itself. Makes it a slightly more niche loophole.
I quite like the spirit of the 2 hour no quibble refund policy. It does still have many problems, but being able to play for 48 hours and then refund no-questions-asked was for sure never intentional.

Wild, I didn’t realise this was possible for early access games.

I feel like this is the part that bothers me the most about these articles. There’s no disclaimer it is AI, there’s a journalist name and photo on there, but it’s quite obviously an AI generated summary.

At the top of the page. As soon as I see something like that I assume it’s a low effort article to get some commission off sales.

I understand the sub we are in and that this is a great game. But half of the games articles I see nowadays are what appears to be low quality commissioned articles for games on sale and also often AI written. I can see why someone would downvote that.

Someone should show this to that guy in Texas who was complaining about the 8 minutes of power generation solar loses every few decades during an eclipse.
