Almost all contain nickel and nickel allergies are common. I have it!
- Comment on fwiends 1 month ago:
You may be allergic to the metal (IIRC nickel) in normal metal glasses if that’s what you have. For people with that, which is common, titanium is the only metal kind that will work.

At least on r/Firefox, that was partly due to an enormous uplift by the moderators to keep it not toxic. I become a moderator there specifically because of the pervasive anti-Mozilla toxicity.

As the former head moderator of r/Firefox… We inherited this from reddit.
- Comment on Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair, Inc. 2 months ago:
Since this was filed in Japan, it would have to be parents Nintendo own in Japan that are infringed and those don’t necessarily perfectly match those in the US
- Comment on Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair, Inc. 2 months ago:
They said patent violations, not copyright, so it is about some sort of mechanic or system and not the pals or any specific designs. I’m guessing the thrown ball capture system, since it seems no other developers have published anything using that specifically.
- Comment on Mozilla is shutting down their Mastodon instance. 2 months ago:
The majority of those are nothing burgers. They shut down their dedicated password app when they integrated it’s features into the browser, they shut down their encrypted file sharing tool when they realized it was being used for very nefarious uses, they shut down Positron and it’s affiliated projects because nobody started using it over Electron… and a lot of the rest are extremely niche (like viewing websites in 3d, cool but not all that useful).

Having tried their AI tools… They are useless.

Not only that, the drawing of her in the first and last panels are the same with a few changes, and the guy is the same in all three panels he is in, just with an extra arm drawn in the final one.

“Savages”, "Redskins”, “Squaw”, and so on.
Some news headlines even refer to the second one as “the R-word”:
CNN: The terrible R-word that football needed to lose
Politico: The R-Word Is Even Worse Than You Think
These are extremely harmful words with hundreds of years of genocide behind them. I imagine the only reason they aren’t censored like the N-word is is because Native Americans make up a proportionally smaller population due to the effectiveness of the genocide, and because the reservation system is in contrast to racial integration as with American black people in so much as it limits interactions between them and racist whites who would overuse a dehumanizing phrase to the same extent.

Backtrack if you want, but what you said was xenophobic by definition and I’m not going to bother arguing semantics.
- Comment on Why don't low birth-rate countries make immigration to their country easier? 4 months ago:
Because you are xenophobic yourself, yes.
- Comment on Why don't low birth-rate countries make immigration to their country easier? 4 months ago:
Do you understand the difference between integration and immigration?
Yes there is something wrong with not wanting to allow people from other cultures to integrate into your own.

A lot of eastern Asian countries are extremely xenophobic in other words.

Read further, while the author didn’t realize what she was doing it is a trans narrative through and through, and the free dlc ending did contain the flag because by then she did know.

Is Madeline Canonically Trans?
Well, yeah, of course she is.
This feels painfully obvious to a lot of (mostly trans) people, and likewise it feels painfully obvious to me too, in retrospect. It has also become painfully obvious to me that I, myself, am trans. But these are things that I was not aware of during the development of Celeste, where I was writing Madeline and speaking from her perspective. Creating Celeste with my friends helped me reach the point where I could realize this truth about myself. During Celeste’s development, I did not know that Madeline or myself were trans. During the Farewell DLC’s development, I began to form a hunch. Post-development, I now know that we both are.

Hopefully with the advent of excellent teen-adult focused animation from the west (especially on Netflix) people will accept that “anime” doesn’t mean “cool animation” but “Japanese animation” and the categories can remain clear. Regardless of that opinion, I think this meme belongs here just fine because there is a huge overlap between Anime fans and adult animation fans, and we don’t tend to have adult animation communities.
That’s my take on the issue at least.

The people who lived in the same building as Dahmer who had no idea he was killing, dismembering, and even eating his victims in the same building as him.
Or see the horrific Josef Fritzl incident, where he managed to hide his daughter in IIRC a secret room in his basement, with his wife convinced she had ran away. She gave birth down there six times and her mom, just above her head, was completely unaware.

Possibly, the article implies it just had to do with the civil war in the 90s. Why do you think homosexuality was a factor?
- Comment on Algerian man found alive after 26 years in neighbour’s cellar 5 months ago:
Bad translation/cultural interpretation? Maybe they meant something along the lines of “if I spoke he would have hurt my family” which is a verbal phrase that holds power over him, sort of like a spell.
