The Devs are instantly legends for even offering this up. Bravo

It’s not intolerance of spirituality and religion, There are plenty of neutral religions almost universally accepted as peaceful and left alone. Abrahamic religions unfortunately have a history of validating violence against nonbelievers. Anyone not in their accepted belief system is sub human and therefore fair game to treat as such, even other if not more so other competing sects.

Your initial post said religion and spirituality so I made some assumptions on your meaning.

This is a fun conversation FYI. So all living creatures have a spirituality construct that is required for them to survive millions of years. There are many social creatures on this planet, are you suggesting they all have a shared spirituality guiding their morals in order to survive. If so interesting thought, if not why are we required to have one but not them. My opinion is spirituality is a by product not a necessity.

It’s basic survival evolution. You don’t leave dangerous things around for fear of harm which goes against basic survival instinct. Everything that doesn’t evolve to survive goes extinct. All of our “morality” is to improve our chance of survival. Long ago we evolved to seek food and reproduce, it all stems from that. If you want to pin that basic life programming on some sort of source, I can get behind that to a degree, beyond that you cannot prove any interaction of religious entity. It’s our pattern recognition brains filling in the gaps with our own unique stuffing based on individual surroundings and oral/written tradition. Once again it’s all survival instincts because fear of the unknown can create anxiety, stress and ill health. When a child asks why, we have to alleviate their fear even if we don’t actually know the answers, hence fairy tales and religion, otherwise known as lies. You lie the same lie enough and you start to believe it yourself as true.
- Comment on Why does it feel like protesting isn't as "extreme" as it used to be? 1 week ago:
A few things come to my mind on why.
- We aren’t fresh off of WW2 when a large portion of the planet was personally affected, extremely sensitive and aware of the impact government overreach can cause.
- We aren’t bored, we have all these highly refined dopamine injecting options, maybe not nefarious in nature but keeps many of us docile and complacent.
- Extremely effective propaganda to muddy the waters on what’s actually going on and what a united peoples opinion even is.
- Globalization of the money, I believe on the grand scheme, the money players are softly united behind the scenes and not backing one side or the other but playing the middle ground class war. So no big money to support a cause.

- Comment on Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion's level scaling was a "mistake", says designer, so why is it in the remaster? 2 months ago:
I disagree, I don’t like when they alter the game away from the original, just make a new game then. Some of us want the remasters to have as much original content as possible, flaws and all. I like that this is essentially the same game I fell in love. I can always mod it to be what I prefer later.

Semantics of possessions we can argue, but she literally pulls the “You take over, it sucks in here” card repeatedly.

It’s actually a major theme in the book series “The Stormlight Archive” by Brandon Sanderson. A major character Shallan does and deals with this exact thing.
- Comment on Oblivion Remastered Impressions (and Discussion Thread) 2 months ago:
The old style auto added points based on what attributes you used. So if you leveled destruction a lot during level 5 you could get a boosted willpower or Intelligence stat when you leveled up. It was a little chaotic. Now you have 12 stat points(virtues) you can add to whatever 3 attributes you want maxed at 5 points per attribute.

Feels on brand for Bethesda to secret release this just before skyblivion mod finally gets near their release date. Kind of feels like a slap in the face to the community. I guess we will get a who did it better comparison.

Woops, you are right the case was 2010, Citizens United was founded in 1988.

Of course this is death by a thousand cuts. For me a lot of blame goes to the Reagan administration. They really set up the next 40 yrs plus with trickle down economics. It really hammered home that government is for profit of corporations, not a non-profit service for the people. Citizens United vs FEC (1988) also opened the flood gates to money in politics with no recourse by the public. It’s been a downhill from there in my opinion.
