But aside from donating to NGOs dedicated to cleaning up ocean litter, the average person has very little way to reduce the number of plastic nets in the water. It requires lifting fishermen out of poverty, teaching them more sustainable fishing practices, and cracking down on littering, all things that require international cooperation.

The only way that a project like this can succeed is by Stealth dropping it once complete, like the Mario 64 pc port.

This is disingenuous. Scammers have gotten smarter over the years and not everybody is technologically savvy. All it takes is a perfect storm of factors for even the most experienced people to fall prey to scams.
Stop victim blaming and focus on education. It’s the only way this gets better.

Bro, who tf are you talking to?
The Spanish empire is horrific in its treatment of indigenous people in the Americas.
Ask any Algerian about the French Empire.
King Leopold’s crimes against humanity in the Belgian Congo are impossible to ignore.
Just because the other empires aren’t talked about as often, doesn’t mean they’re forgiven.

I’m sorry you feel this way.
Try to remember that the internet is not fully representative of real life. The world outside will hopefully feel less angry and stressful than this online one.
Definitely avoid social media doomscrolling. It’s fucking toxic.
