I discovered this open-source 1024x768 6" e-paper screen while checking OP’s crowdfunding page

Hardware settings seems a bit limited. Maybe the point is to make it very cheap? Charging via older standard microUSB port makes it a no-go for the whole of European market through conventional channels tho.
But really the 7.5" 800x480 screen def worries me. A Kobo Clara is 1072x1448 over 6" diagonal, for $120.
(Now 5000mAh battery is crazy good for an e-ink device, that’s great)
OP when the actual Crowd Funding campaign starts, please repost. I am curious nevertheless, it’s a cool idea but I also want to be able to read my books on it.

I use NewPipe on my android phone: it will only display the channels I am subscribed to, and you have to take extra steps to check what the algorithm would like to feed you afterwards.
I keep a voluntarily small amount of subscriptions, and removed the “most popular” tab in settings. This absolutely limits the amount of time I can spend on the platform (on top of removing the yt ads).

- Comment on Fedora Asahi Remix 40 is another big step forward for Linux on Apple Silicon Macs 9 months ago:
I do. It’s not my only machine, but it is booted into Asahi 90% of the time. I run mostly Ardour, it is my main mixing workstation & then my exports are shared via SyncThing to Backup and Playback machines. It seems to be able to pile up tracks and vsts pretty comfortably. The excellent Pipewire implementation allows me to switch monitoring equipment quickly, be it wired or BT.
As an everyday thing, my only issue is the power consumption while sleeping. When I’m not just moving from here to there, I just shut it down, it boots fast enough really.

That’s why I mentioned “huge private healthcare network”: the employer does the Work Visa authorisation paperwork for you.

Check out Switzerland. Huge private healthcare network, expensive country but the salary is high too. Excellent public transport, good social protection… And magnificent landscapes, smack in the middle of Europe you have access to everywhere. You’ll have to learn French or German tho. It can be a bit quiet, but very very safe. Traditional food is meh, especially if you’re not a fan of melted cheese by the bucket.

I know. That’s why I kept a small macos partition to do the hard crunch when needed, like rendering in kdenlive. Everything else I can just do on Asahi, including Ardour multitrack exports.

Ah again. One more moving target to chase for the nice AsahiLinux project.

I just finished the full soundtrack of a theatre play using AsahiLinux on my M2pro mbp. I resorted to macos only to render some heavy video tracks.

For Women’s Right Day, the android app store featured the lead of Security and Privacy of this very app. A lady BTW. Fuck me sideways how that was a ton of crap, retrospectively. She said in so many words the usual “privacy foremost” and other such obvious shit, then she also said “no selling ever”.
I despair of humanity.

It’s like with watching TV Series. Why am I going through Firefly again instead of trying something new? Or reading The Expanse again?
