That’s good to know. So everything after and including the ? is not needed?
- Comment on Toast 5 days ago:
The burnt toast is likely a mistaken reference to a Canadian Heritage Minute about an epileptic woman who smelled burnt toast when she had seizures. A pioneering neurosurgeon kept his patients awake while probing their exposed brain to find and burn out malfunctioning nerves. It is actually epilepsy not a stroke that the burnt toast thing is associated with, not that everyone with epilepsy smells burnt toast, that was just the famous one that most Canadians of a certain age will know.
Here it is for anyone curious. youtu.be/pUOG2g4hj8s?si=ZdFcRR0a3Q3FaAf4

I had a book of graffiti, one of them was described as an arrow written up a wall next to a urinal up to the ceiling where a message read “by the time you’ve read this message, you have pissed on your shoes.”

Netanyahu know who he wants and it definitely isn’t Harris/Walz

If you can breathe through the butt as you can through your mouth, can you eat with your butt as well?

My preferred death would be instantaneous combustion. No need for a cremation later, just a one shot of death and decorporealization.
- Comment on Ideal Shrek Zone 2 months ago:
This is a lie to make people feel better, rather than let them think they will die instantly, let them think for an hour and 30 mins they will calmly enjoy their final minutes listening to Mike Myers. Personally I’d rather go out to Wayne’s World if it’s going to be Mike Myers.

I just looked at the ingredients for the Better than Bouillon roasted garlic stock and the only veggie in the stock. There are thickeners in the ingredients of that but if you were to make your own you could skip or add other veggies.
- Comment on why not 3 months ago:
Don’t forget to replace most or all of the stock in the recipe with garlic stock, roasted garlic stock
- Comment on The super-rich are disappointingly boring. 3 months ago:
They have gold fever. There is no amount of money that will sate their thirst for more, whether they have to get it by screwing their employees, bribing politicians for tax relief and subsidies, or just plain fraud.
Being that rich should be a mental illness and once you reach a certain level you have to undergo treatment and not make any more money. Also, death taxes should be a thing that cuts off generational wealth.

Giant pacific octopus would be the worry I would have.
Octopus are strong and curious, if they lived longer than a few years they would be next to us or higher on the intelligence scale. They can pull off your regulator or mask just out of curiosity.
- Comment on Orcas sink sailing yacht in Strait of Gibraltar 6 months ago:
I think it is that when you are diving you could be mistaken for a slow awkward seal.
Killer whales don’t attack humans in swimming settings because we are obviously not their food but when divers are underwater mistakes could happen and if you are not close to the surface anything that happens that messes with your regulator or tanks means death.
- Comment on Orcas sink sailing yacht in Strait of Gibraltar 6 months ago:
Scuba divers in the West Coast of BC are trained to be aware of sharks in the water but if an orca is spotted you get the fuck out of the water.

I know, I did try playing them with dosbox years later but I didn’t know anyone that had them to borrow the discs so I hadn’t played them back in the day like all the ones I named.

The era of SCUMM. Point and click adventures were awesome. Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Leisure Suit Larry, Quest for Glory series, Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis.

We have been focusing on the bot scourge. I’m sure in some ways we are doing ourselves a disservice because we’re going to be wholly unprepared for the bug fight once we go back to that side of the galaxy.

This is going to be a lot more of a pain in the ass for me and my buddy. It is just the two of us doing the missions and the medium missions are just starting to be not too hard to complete.
One and a half levels to go before we get that autocannon turret.

We enjoyed it quite a lot. One of us got pissy when he died too much so I don’t know if we can get him to play again.

How much of an improvement has there been in the last 3-4 years?
4 of us would play while talking on a voice chat before the pandemic. We stopped after we could easily survive the craziest night time attacks without needing to rebuild. We had all the plans and vehicles.
Is it worth getting the gang back together or are things pretty much the same with a slightly nicer graphical experience?

She was a bad opponent against Trump after decades of attacks from the right, she was not viable for most of the country ignoring the fact that misogynist men won’t ever vote for a woman in any office.
- Comment on Endometriosis sufferer saw 20 doctors before diagnosis 7 months ago:
Once the tests actually got done she had surgery within a day to remove the massive tumor, she got a few weeks of normalcy before it grew back completely again and she was comatose. She saved three people by donating her organs. She was a pretty damn good human being and I miss her.
I looked back in our WhatsApp chats and found the day where a year earlier she mentioned having a massive painful migraine lasting days and the doctors just gave her drugs and moved on. I won’t ever tell my parents because they think it came out of nowhere and that they couldn’t have done anything. Likely they couldn’t have done anything but to know she was likely sick for an entire year would break my mother more than she already is.
- Comment on Endometriosis sufferer saw 20 doctors before diagnosis 7 months ago:
I sometimes wonder how long they spend in medical school teaching about issues that are only to do with women and those having female genitalia. Story after story talks about doctors disregarding pain levels in women, ignorance of basic anatomy they should know, and drugs that were developed and proven to work but only in men, never tested on women.
My sister’s pain levels were ignored for over a year until she was to the point of being mentally, not with it, if they had run some tests the previous year they would have caught the cancer that was growing in her brain. Instead she was just sent home with a stronger pain killer until the tumor was so big that she was acting abnormally and her social worker insisted that the hospital run tests and they finally found the glioblastoma. A month later she was gone.

It did have one hell of a large budget so it definitely did visuals way better than sci Fi channel but it cut down this massive story into just over 2 hours so an unacceptable amount of cuts were made just to fit the cliff notes into a film.
