Scuba divers in the West Coast of BC are trained to be aware of sharks in the water but if an orca is spotted you get the fuck out of the water.

I know, I did try playing them with dosbox years later but I didn’t know anyone that had them to borrow the discs so I hadn’t played them back in the day like all the ones I named.

The era of SCUMM. Point and click adventures were awesome. Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Leisure Suit Larry, Quest for Glory series, Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis.

We have been focusing on the bot scourge. I’m sure in some ways we are doing ourselves a disservice because we’re going to be wholly unprepared for the bug fight once we go back to that side of the galaxy.

This is going to be a lot more of a pain in the ass for me and my buddy. It is just the two of us doing the missions and the medium missions are just starting to be not too hard to complete.
One and a half levels to go before we get that autocannon turret.
- Comment on Over 10 years later 7 Days to Die is going to leave Early Access 3 weeks ago:
We enjoyed it quite a lot. One of us got pissy when he died too much so I don’t know if we can get him to play again.

How much of an improvement has there been in the last 3-4 years?
4 of us would play while talking on a voice chat before the pandemic. We stopped after we could easily survive the craziest night time attacks without needing to rebuild. We had all the plans and vehicles.
Is it worth getting the gang back together or are things pretty much the same with a slightly nicer graphical experience?

If you get hit with an exploding bolt then it is your democratic duty to run into a crowd of disgusting bugs and take them with you.

I think you meant power hungry cunt. Hag is too nice a word.
She was a bad opponent against Trump after decades of attacks from the right, she was not viable for most of the country ignoring the fact that misogynist men won’t ever vote for a woman in any office.
- Comment on Endometriosis sufferer saw 20 doctors before diagnosis 1 month ago:
Once the tests actually got done she had surgery within a day to remove the massive tumor, she got a few weeks of normalcy before it grew back completely again and she was comatose. She saved three people by donating her organs. She was a pretty damn good human being and I miss her.
I looked back in our WhatsApp chats and found the day where a year earlier she mentioned having a massive painful migraine lasting days and the doctors just gave her drugs and moved on. I won’t ever tell my parents because they think it came out of nowhere and that they couldn’t have done anything. Likely they couldn’t have done anything but to know she was likely sick for an entire year would break my mother more than she already is.
- Comment on Endometriosis sufferer saw 20 doctors before diagnosis 1 month ago:
I sometimes wonder how long they spend in medical school teaching about issues that are only to do with women and those having female genitalia. Story after story talks about doctors disregarding pain levels in women, ignorance of basic anatomy they should know, and drugs that were developed and proven to work but only in men, never tested on women.
My sister’s pain levels were ignored for over a year until she was to the point of being mentally, not with it, if they had run some tests the previous year they would have caught the cancer that was growing in her brain. Instead she was just sent home with a stronger pain killer until the tumor was so big that she was acting abnormally and her social worker insisted that the hospital run tests and they finally found the glioblastoma. A month later she was gone.

- Comment on Any way to force federation of an existing post from a different instance? 2 months ago:
It did have one hell of a large budget so it definitely did visuals way better than sci Fi channel but it cut down this massive story into just over 2 hours so an unacceptable amount of cuts were made just to fit the cliff notes into a film.
- Comment on Any way to force federation of an existing post from a different instance? 2 months ago:
The movie was excellent. Miles above the Sci Fi channel version. Atmospheres above David Lynch.

It is nice to hear music but still hear your surroundings for safety.
- Comment on Air Canada must honor refund policy invented by airline’s chatbot 2 months ago:
I once had a charge for Air Canada on my credit card. I immediately called in to the fraud number and said my number had been stolen. They asked me how I knew. I said I would never in my life fly on Air Canada unless there was no choice. They laughed and canceled the charge.
- Comment on Amazon Prime Video drops Dolby Vision and Atmos unless you pay extra 2 months ago:
Enshittification
First, they make a service good for the customer even at a loss so customers don’t want to go other places. ✅
Second, they use the information gathered from you to sell to companies to make money off you. In Amazon’s case they are now so big they don’t need to sell your info but they do it anyways. ✅
Third, they screw the companies and the users to make the money all for themselves. In Amazon’s case they fuck sellers by making Amazon branded copies of best selling items to cut their third party stores out of business by putting their copies first in the search results.✅
Read Cory Doctorow’s books about enshittification.(also read his fiction, Little Brother, for a great fast paced dystopian terrorist novel.

What system do you have and how many cameras. We are moving north and I wanted to get a POE system and am looking for recommendations. Obviously Costco has some options but they are going to be pretty basic and have iffy reviews.

- Comment on B.C. police secretly took DNA from Kurdish community in tea-cup sting to solve murder 3 months ago:
If they randomly decided on checking the Kurdish community for a suspect then it might be more questionable but they had DNA from sperm found in the dead body of a 13 year old that matched markers found in Kurdish people.
I’m more surprised that they didn’t find that the DNA had matches to the victim since they were siblings but they didn’t mention anything about that in the article.
