typically you see your PCP first.
PCP is the one who makes referral to other physician specialists, like a pain and rehabilitation medicine. the MD’s attempt to identify the pain generators through a series of different types of injections. this is typically accompanies with PT, MT, and possibly chiro.
when those fail (conservative treatment), the Pt is referred to either a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon.

I just got recommended this sub after posting on reddit re: predatory algos and the necessary regulations needed to protect people and how algos have manipulated the UX so much its disrupted the originally intended purposes; ie insta has effectively become a marketing and advertising platform.
So in response someone suggested finding alternatives to the popular social media sites and used Lemmy as an example.
I have been loving it thus far - its old school reddit.
