I never thought about it subconsciously being associated with cooking or cooking oils. I guess it makes sense?

Myself, I quit Facebook a long time ago, but when trying to recover my account to save my old pictures the website required me to upload a photo of my driver’s license for account verification. I said screw that and have let my account sit idle ever since. I’m not sure if it will get deleted after so much time, but my mom used to tell me how a bunch of people were still posting birthday wishes on my old page long after I stopped using it.
I would recommend looking into other ways to contact him. You could also do some digging and look up their name to see if you find them on any public records. If they really did pass on you would likely find an obituary online, or possibly they are in jail (also public records). I would think they just quit social media, like in my case, and you might need to search through common acquaintances.

I think the big difference is the older generation of gaming didn’t have to compete with every kid having a tablet they could just play games on.

They’re more worried about covering up their troops accidentally murdering war correspondents because it’s hard to blame it on “crossfire” when there’s only one side actively murdering people.

Alternatively, make both genders put the lid down. That way everyone has to do the same work to pee.
- Comment on Neither do I, Mr. Raccoon 5 weeks ago:
I knew a guy that was tortured to death in prison by medical staff for having stomach cancer and bothering the nurses too much about it.
At first, before diagnosis, he couldn’t keep food down. He asked for a medical exam and they scheduled one like a week out, but canceled it because his blood pressure was too high. The next one was cancelled as was the one after that. By the time they actually looked at him, the cancer had spread and gone terminal. He was going to die by medical neglect.
Some time later, his esophagus ruptured in the night, and the nurse they called at home to check on him said he was faking over the phone, so they locked him in a TV room through the night because he wouldn’t stop screaming in pain. Around 9am they got him to a hospital but the damage had already gone septic and he died.
On paper, prisoners might have better “healthcare” but I will never forget the horror stories of people who have actually had to deal with the system. The medical people in prisons will not give a single shit about these people’s lives and will actively work against them for being minority inconvenienced.

This is exactly the point I’m making. Once a few companies effectively own the market, what’s stopping them from programming their devices to communicate with each other without user knowledge? I remember seeing some post about a reddit guy asking why his Samsung (or other smart brand) dishwasher was using several GB of bandwidth daily.

You’ll have to rip the networking chip out pretty soon to stop them from sniffing out and connecting to WiFi or other devices connected to the internet.

The new problem is AI running on the TV taking the images sent to it and processing those separately from everything else, and using that to see what you’re doing and watching.

I had to look it up. The RAM I bought 12 months ago for $99 is now $350. This is insane.
- Comment on Why are love potions always romantic in nature? Why hasn't anyone made a non-romantic variant? 1 month ago:
Like a potion that just charms someone without making them fall in love? I’m pretty sure D&D has a spell that does exactly that, and just about any spell can be made into a potion IIRC.

I’m basically the opposite. I can remember peoples faces very well but have a hell of a hard time trying to remember their names. I’d say I’m a 1 or 2 on this scale, depending imon if I’m fully engaged with the content (like reading a book).

- Comment on Would Frieren kill Nezuko? [Discuss] 6 months ago:
In Frieren’s world, Demons only appear and act human as a survival trait (from what I’ve seen so far). In Demon Slayer, Nezuko is turned into a demon, not born one, and retains much of her humanity in staying with her brother and helping him fight other demons. I think if Frieren were to see that she was turned and not born a demon, they could come to an understanding. Frieren may even make the effort to find a way to revert Nezuko back to being a human.
For context, I’ve only watched the Frieren anime (not started the Manga) and only watched & read Demon Slayer through the Demon Train arc (I got burnt out and haven’t picked it back up yet).

TLDR: People are review bombing the game for poor performance and lack of endgame content. You can go look at the recent Steam reviews to see this.
