Maybe, but that’s not the question.

- Comment on Current best lemmy clients 2 months ago:
I went from Boost for Reddit straight to Boost for Lemmy. It does everything I need and the dev is quite active with new features etc.

Is stealth routing in the Linux client yet?
- Comment on To what extent, if at all, would have CrowdStrike's faulty update have been made easier to deal with with an immutable distro? 3 months ago:
That’s all well and good, but many of these Windows machines were headless or used by extremely non-technical people - think tills at your supermarket or airport check-in desks. Worse, some of these installations were running in the cloud, so console access would have been tricky.
- Comment on Congratulations! You just won a lifetime supply of the last thing you bought. What do you have ? 3 months ago:
A lifetime supply if Italian nougat… OK, I guess, but I could think of better things!
- Comment on Ucas plans to drop personal statements for UK university applicants 3 months ago:
Or lovely but poor parents. I hated the whole gap year culture when I went to University. Everyone carried on like they were so cool. No, you weren’t, you were just rich enough to afford flights and to do fuck all for a year.
- Comment on Exit poll: Labour to win landslide in general election 4 months ago:
I disagree. The meteoric rise of Reform indicates that a large part of the country is moving further right, not left. In contrast, the gains by Labour in terms of votes were not what I had hoped for. What turned this into a land slide was reform splitting the right wing vote.
We/you need to spend the next 5 years addressing that problem or there are indeed bad times ahead.
- Comment on Let's address the significant issue confronting the nation today.. Which Mr/Mrs Men are you? 4 months ago:

Mostly, he’s been doing the dirty work for Russia.
- Comment on Julian Assange leaves UK after being freed in US plea deal - BBC News 4 months ago:
Yeah… I’ve very mixed feelings about this. On paper, wikileaks was a force for good, but it got taken over by far right/Russian assets.
- Comment on If somebody spends the whole day watching fox or religious propaganda, gets worked up and all he can think of is owning a liberal or converting an unbeliever, is this person a victim or just gullible? 6 months ago:
Honestly, I think there is a real problem with infantilisation - and (Warning: unpopular opinion) a large part of this is the marvel films and manga trend. Those always over simplify every problem to a short, violent solution.
- Comment on Men over 30, what do you keep in your bedside nightstand? 6 months ago:
Zero? Probably not. Low enough that I don’t worry about it? Definitely.
- Comment on Men over 30, what do you keep in your bedside nightstand? 6 months ago:
It’s not normal to need that kind of defence in the 21st century… bandits and what not really aren’t a thing here because we have social security safety nets and (admittedly quite crap) mental health care.
- Comment on UK inflation falls as meat and crumpet prices drop 6 months ago:
Crumpets are great, so take the wins where you can!
- Comment on RAF fighter jets deployed to shoot down Iran drones, MoD says 6 months ago:
Iran surely got a lot of nuclear know how from Russia in return for drones. I wouldn’t want to bet that they don’t have nuclear weapons at this point.
- Comment on If managers are so good at managing things, how come they can't manage to manage themselves? 8 months ago:
Shit floats, as they say.
- Comment on Men over 30, what contributes to weight gain besides slower metabolism when you get older? Is it really hard to stay in shape? 8 months ago:
Alcohol and sugary drinks. Stick to water and the occasional tea or coffee, so long as you don’t add sugar. Coke and its ilk are liquid death, avoid at all costs. Giving up those high sugar content drinks will be hard if you are used to them, though…

For regulated investments, absolutely! You can’t tip off your mate and hope you both get away with it…

Kate, though it gets a bit IDE like.
