But they don’t want to. They’re only selling EVs of any sort to stay competitive and compliant with regulation. Toyota has all but said fuck EVs.

A system with the goal being best or even optimal for all involved would never be called capitalism, even if capitalism didn’t exist.

This will close the dealer to person loophole where people who should be classified as dealers previously weren’t. Straw purchases and person to person sales will still happen without the background checks.

That’s not a position I’m arguing. It may have been part of the reason he was banned. But not relevant to my argument.
And no modern army has rape as a policy, explicit or implied. Many turn a blind eye to it when it does occur, but hardly policy. Even Russia, with documented cases in Ukraine, don’t have it written down.

The proverbial they are trying to keep the equivalence of Israel = All Jews. They want more people to criticize Israel to further the racist narrative.
You could be Jewish, you could be Israeli. And you could say you don’t approve of the apartheid or genocide by Israel, and you’d be labeled a racist. Now leave out those last two words, and you’re fine.
It would be similar if an American said they didn’t approve of the genocide against the American first Nations by the US Government. Except you don’t get called racist for it.

I saw it happen once when I was young team lead. I had a number of people that worked on my team.
One day I was asked how many people we would need if we stopped doing one task. I was to naive to put two and two together.
A short time later I heard the ops manager talking to someone about offering the people they planned to get rid of other work with the express intent of avoiding paying out unemployment.
I couldn’t really do anything at that point other than warn my people, which I did. I found something else a short while later. I made sure to tell management why I was quitting, which was a long list of issues including them fucking over good people.

- Comment on People who dont particularly care for or celebrate Christmas, Whats your favorite Christmas song? 4 months ago:
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite thingsThis is my favorite Christmas song because as soon as I hear those lines, I’m transported to Barstow California, on the edge of the desert. I’m riding in a whale of a car and traveling at great speed. All the while diving deep into a blender of illicit substances.
