  I’ve been using an iPad with m1 for a while, can’t wait to get this power on a regular machine… but the ram price makes me want to wait another gen at least.

  It’s about user experience for me. I’m a software dev, I work with linux or unix systems. When i’m home I don’t want spend my time configuring a windows machine with terrible UX. OSX is very well built, built-in basic security, etc. It’s just much less hassle

  Little reminder that your eyes need 30min to adjust to night conditions, and just a second of light to start the counter again. So no smartphones, no watch, no kindle, not even a lighter or the led on your vape, if you want to enjoy the experience fully.

  Unfortunately, even secluded towns suffer because of light diffusion in the atmosphere. The only places left where you can see it, the way it was before electric lights, are mountains and extremely far places (think middle of the ocean or the poles)

  I grew up next to very high mountains. No picture, video or painting can transcribe the experience. It’s overwhelming, and very hard to see it being lost…

  Well look at that, I did learn my lesson with Anthem. Cheers to whoever did not pre-order or get game pass for it. I’ll check again in a year when they might have made a good game out of it.
