Disclaimer: drinking alone in Reykjavik at the moment
You might be surprised! There is a non-trivial amount of Scottish ancestry in Iceland. When Iceland was being settled by the Norse, they stopped off adding the way in Shetland, Orkney, and Caithness to gather supplies and… Well… Slaves. But there is a lot of cross over between the two areas. I suppose it depends on where in Scotland your ancestry lies.

You may be interested to learn that in Scotland there is a linguistically different language called Scots. It’s related to English but distinctly different. Similar to the differences in language between Norwegian and Swedish.

Same! I was on a road trip in Ireland and it came out of nowhere. Freaked me out. I’d never had one until a few months after my first bout with COVID. Now I get them but usually only if I’ve not been drinking enough water for a few days, and ONLY when I stand up. It’s preceded by a weird sort of throbbing where it feels like sound is turned down in time with my heartbeat.
