Yeah I ran into these solutions but unfortunately I can’t seem to find any USB-CEC adapter other than the Pulse Eight, which doesn’t seem to ship to Australia in any economical manner.
I ended up getting a Flirc USB, couldn’t get the existing TV remote to work with that (once paired with the TV it stops sending IR signals, and the TV wouldn’t let me select the PC input as needing to activate the IR mode on the remote), ordered the Flirc Skip 1s… and now that’s working well enough we’re using the Skip1s as the primary remote for the TV as well. About 150AUD down the hole for this solution, and it’s not truly turning the PC off, but close enough!

We sold our PS and now have a gaming PC hooked up to the TV.
Been a few teething issues with convenience issues like being able to turn it on from the couch, but the experience has gotten pretty smooth now.
- Comment on Does anyone have ideas for cable management here? 2 months ago:
Some of the cables need to be longer to not have that effect where they’re being pulled against their own weight.
Then, lean into it: www.instructables.com/Maximum-Wire-Management/

I bought a StinkyBoard thinking I would be so productive… I was not. Perhaps I’m not being imaginative enough with its use. 😅

It can, yes. TMJ-D can be debilitating.

Yes. And the jaw joint has more deterioration too.
- Comment on Is a Quest 3 really worth it? 7 months ago:
A note about battery life, Bobovr makes a great strap that has modular batteries. I don’t think they’ve made a full kit for the q3 that has multiple batteries and a separate charging dock for the batteries like they did for the q2, though… Happy to be corrected on this! Either way, they greatly extend playing time.
The strap itself is really comfortable and the battery helps counterbalance the weight of the quest itself. I know one of the q3 versions has a fan built in and the design lets you lie on your back and just watch movies.
- Comment on Is it okay to take drugs to make yourself a better person? Does it make a difference if "better" is mental or if it's physical? 7 months ago:
What a cracker of a question!
Short answer, yes.
Long answer, what sorts of side effects happen as a result of said medication? I don’t think there’s a single medication or even supplement out there that doesn’t have some sort of side effect (e.g., ibuprofen can cause gut bleeding, iron supplements can lead to constipation, grapefruit can screw with all sorts of medications), so balancing the cost benefit ratio is important.
