Uh, the Pro wasn’t aimed for that, you twit.

And for 500 it’s getting even better than all other options next month.
- Comment on Facebook's VR Headset Not Selling, Literally Giving It Away 1 year ago:
This is the dumbest take on what’s happening. The Quest 3 is better than the Pro and it comes out next month. We don’t need the Pro anymore. Some of y’all need to use some critical thinking. Roblox also just recently got a lot of attention towards it from Meta; it’s not a coincidence these were Roblox devs that the Pros were given to.
- Comment on Unity will quietly waive controversial fees if developers switch to its ad monetisation service - report 1 year ago:
Honestly, if I had any stake in them I’d be wondering why Unity is so desperate for money.
- Comment on TikTok Is Spending $1.3 Billion to Dodge Bans in Europe 1 year ago:
It’s not just “the only difference,” it’s the entire point. The population’s data being through the CCP is the entire government consideration of banning the app.
- Comment on A.I. tools fueled a 34% spike in Microsoft’s water consumption, and one city with its data centers is concerned about the effect on residential supply 1 year ago:
At Meta we have a massive system for cutting out our net effect on water for the local area. I’m in NM and the DC here is almost actually adding to the water. I can’t imagine Microsoft would behind as to not do this. It’s an open design.

If they thought that far ahead they wouldn’t be running around breaking into homes and cars.

The difference is that you only pay for an artist’s picture once.

I don’t feel bad for anyone pushing a subscription model.
- Comment on A feud is heating up between Arizona workers and the world's leading chipmaker after the company claimed the US doesn't have the skills to build its new factory 1 year ago:
I don’t understand your example. You don’t just tell someone “Hey, I want an acoustic testing chamber.”
Your “experts” are going to have the plans already made and the contractors build to that spec. The contractors don’t ‘decide where to use metal or foam. Your experts’ building plans should have that already in there, otherwise they aren’t much of an expert.
- Comment on Tipping 'nudges' are now popping up on DoorDash. If you don't leave a gratuity, you'll hear about it. 1 year ago:
I tip less and less the more they complain about it. I don’t even tip at those register prompts at all anymore. Conservatives keep talking about how raising wages will increase prices but they have no answer about why prices are going up anyway even without raising wages.

My understanding is that this isn’t even about making the semiconductors, this is just about building the factory in the first place. In this case, Taiwan’s expertise in making chips means fuck all.
- Comment on Microsoft shuts down Cortana app on Windows 11 1 year ago:
I agree. At first I thought the goal was to get rid of an assistant in general, but just renaming it to something worse is confusing.
