SOH CAH TOA is just a trick to make rote memorization of procedure easier. Understanding the unit circle will let you understand what trigonometry is actually doing.

I’m going to assume you need to use Chrome to set up the dongle because Firefox still doesn’t support Bluetooth web APIs.
Logitech G devices with the Lightspeed dongle don’t require setup (they’re all uniquely paired from the factory) and will work without the G Hub software. The software itself, if you do want it, works offline without an account.

If YouTube offered premium without music for a discounted price I’d probably be willing to pay for it. But I just want no ads, not a bunch of bundled stuff.

You’re forgetting the part where the video is coming from a cache server that isn’t designed to reencode millions of streams simultaneously

I guess my plan to hold out for the Pro to see if the regular console drops in price isn’t going to work.

Every platform needs a terrible meme that never goes away. Reddit picked a shoebox full of semen, we picked cat starvation
- Comment on Student dorm does not allow wifi routers 2 months ago:
My university had student apartments, each had their own router. No weird rules since it wasn’t the university’s network at all, it belonged to whoever lived in the apartment. Full router access, connect whatever, put it in bridge mode and connect your own if you want.

Flood the internet with disparaging AI Oprahs and then see what she thinks

Really interested in this but would rather wait for a full release - just wanted to thank you for posting on Lemmy as well as Reddit. Everything about this project seems so sincere and I’m not used to that with new apps
- Comment on Interesting to see how dead the MMO genre has become. Are there still players around? 2 months ago:
Look you can go to the WoW, FFXIV, ESO, and OSRS subreddits or search for them on Twitter and see that the communities are still extremely active for these games. If you don’t use mainstream platforms you’re not getting an accurate read on what the mainstream opinions are.

You don’t see anything except Linux discussed on Lemmy because Lemmy has a couple thousand active users
- Comment on Interesting to see how dead the MMO genre has become. Are there still players around? 2 months ago:
You don’t see those commercials anymore because television isn’t relevant anymore. The internet is full of ads for the new WoW expansion, just like it was full of ads for the new XIV expansion and ESO expansion when those released.

Dead? WoW, FFXIV, RuneScape, ESO, have millions of players
- Comment on What does dying from all causes mean? 2 months ago:
It means your life expectancy immediately increases. There are some things that, depending on your age, improving won’t improve life expectancy. ie, a 99 year old doing something that reduces their risk of colon cancer but nothing else will not reduce their chances of dying because something else will kill them first with 100% certainty.
Quitting smoking decreases risk of death for absolutely everyone in every circumstance
- Comment on Old School Runescape is raising membership prices 2 months ago:
More expensive than WoW and FFXIV, and those games let you have a bunch of characters on the same sub. Amazing business move

It’s really strange how they specifically mention HTML5 canvas when you can run any fingerprinter test on the internet and see that Firefox does nothing to obfuscate that. You can run a test in Incognito mode, start a new session on a VPN, run another test, and on Firefox your fingerprint will be identical.

Advertisers track you with device fingerprinting and behaviour profiling now. Firefox doesn’t do much to obscure the more advanced methods of tracking.
- Comment on A Prominent Accessibility Advocate Worked With Studios and Inspired Change. But She Never Actually Existed. 2 months ago:
Within months of Craven’s introduction of Banks, Craven claimed Banks had been hospitalized after dropping a KitchenAid mixer on her foot, according to both an anonymous former business associate of Craven’s I spoke to, and my own past conversations with Craven. Several hours later, her leg was allegedly amputated, and nearly 48 hours after the first operation, her other leg was amputated as well.
How did nobody realize this person was lying or fake? Double amputation from a broken foot?

Reddit is probably too big to completely disappear but if they keep isolating themselves from the rest of the internet they could easily lose mainstream appeal and end up more like a SomethingAwful
